We work a lot on defense and we do a great job at the beginning. But we will have to pick up the intensity throughout the game.

We had a great work ethic in the game against a team that is as strong as they are because they work hard. Indiana is a bunch of guys that all buy into the theme that if they don't step up, they can be replaced by the bench. I think our team is beginning to work towards this theme now that we have so much depth. Our next game may have a different ending.

We're going to try and pick up (the defensive intensity) and see how they handle it. Maybe it will work, maybe it won't, but that's what we do.

I continue to see improvement on the defensive end. Over the last three games, I think we're doing the right things. The last game against Air Force, a team that had shot 49 percent, we held them under 30, and to follow up today and hold another team under 30, I like the improvement there.

I'm a young guy, I'm looking for improvement every week. I'm not arrogant enough to say that I don't have anything to work on I've got a ton of stuff to work on. Every game that I am on the field is an advantage for me. I have a ton of stuff to work on.

Not to pick this game up tonight means we really have got to come through somewhere and win a game or two that nobody expects us to win. It just seemed that in the second half our defensive intensity wasn't there until the last four or five minutes.

I think the transition looks made all the difference in the world. We were able to turn up our defensive intensity, we were able to rebound the ball a little bit better, and we were able to get a lot of looks in transition. I think that got SMU back on their heels.

The biggest improvement I think is that we work hard as a team. You need five people on the ice. From a defensive point, they did a really good job in front of me. They scored only two power play goals. So defensively, I have seen a big improvement.

We need to work on our communication on the court and our transition game.

The passion for winning in this locker room is so strong. The transition game is fun with this team, because everyone runs. Every play in transition, I've got like two or three options. ... You have so many options, you get to pick how you want to get the crowd going.
