 Coach came in the locker room and gave us a pretty loud talk. He really got the guys going, and he helped us relax as well. We came out and played much better.

 We're having a good season. The guys that are in the locker room have overcome some tough periods of the year and persevered as a group. We've been tested a few times. Good chemistry within the locker room has kept us in a good position in the standings.

 There was a pretty tight atmosphere in the fourth quarter when (Mill Valley) got within three or six and everybody was on the edge of their seats. We tightened up a little bit and we just have to relax and make those. I think the biggest thing for the girls is relax. Just relax and enjoy it, whatever happens Saturday, happens. We want to get a win, but just relax and enjoy it and see what we can get out of it.

 We tried a couple of things throughout the week. It ended up with Coach Tice doing it. Coach Loney was up in the booth, calling plays down. He is always bringing up good ideas and he is the (offensive coordinator). But the best way for us today was Coach Tice calling them in. It worked for us and got us in rhythm.

 The best you could do is forget about it and move on. You grow up. You relax, and when you relax you get more mature. In the game, you're going to make mistakes. You never expect D-Lee to miss a ball like that with how good he is. Cedeno makes an error, [so] I went over there and slapped him on the back. You just give him support, tell them to keep their head up.

 I loved that. He always seems to make things make sense. He always has a way of explaining things, and it relates to the vibe that's going on in the locker room. And some of the guys, I know (fellow tight end) Dan (Graham) -- I thought he was going to start fighting right then. I had to tell him, 'I know you're getting fired up; relax.'

 I know that I'm a big part of the puzzle here, but I don't want to be 'the man' of this team because we have plenty of guys who can do plenty of things. A lot of people make a big deal about being labeled the No. 1 receiver in this offense. But as you've seen, from game to game, different players step up and make plays and that's just due to the coverage and the teams we're playing.

 All season we've been [playing for his job]. Whether it's for Coach Tice's job or not, we think Coach Tice is definitely going to have a shot at coming back. We're hoping that he does.

 We kept things positive. We got a good sweat in but mostly messed around. The guys had plenty of time to rest and relax today.

 I had a little (problem) with the university toward the end of last year and they were concerned about what was going to happen. I said, 'Look, everybody relax. If I can keep my staff together, we will surprise a lot of people. Everybody just relax.' Thank goodness I had enough clout that I could get them to relax.
