 We didn't come out and dictate like we needed to do. We sat back after we got the 2-0 lead, and against a team like North Dakota and how hard they work, when we sit back it's hard to come back.

 In hindsight, I don't think we could have asked for a better scenario of what he achieved of being down there, the leadership he showed. A lot of kids will go back to the minors or juniors and be disappointed. And then it takes them forever to get back to where they needed to be. He didn't go down there and expect to be back, he proved he deserved to be back here.

 The goal was to shore up our D and see if we could improve in net. On the back end, we're going to get some bodies back but the timing is uncertain. We felt we needed some character and strength on the back end.

 It was time to get back to reality. All the hoopla was fun, but I was ready to get back home. We had Christmas shopping to do and we just needed to get back.

 I thought he threw better than the score indicated. We didn't make some plays behind him and that's going to happen. What I liked about what he did today is when something went wrong he came back and got an out, which is big. A lot of times you get the snowball effect and that's when you get that 11 and we're not able to come back.  I feel good and ready to go. If they're ready for me to get back, I'm ready to get back there. I hope to see action, maybe we'll be ahead by a large enough score that I won't be needed, but that's the hope.

 He'll come back when he's ready to come back. I'm not going to give him a time frame. That's not my place. The guy has to be at peace. That's more important than anything that's going on here in Blacksburg. When he gets back, he gets back.

 We've got to give people confidence to go back out and go to work, buy things, go back to the stores -- get ready for Thanksgiving, get ready for Christmas, ... Get out and be active, participate in our society.
