It's tough not being able to lift your son, and not being able to do the things that you know you should be able to do. So, it really makes you be patient, and you kind of have to have some self-control.

 What has happened at Indiana, every game becomes a final exam. You are judged by your most recent performance, and that makes it tough for everybody in the program. It's tough enough to try to win without having that kind of pressure.

 That's the kind of kid he is. He's tough, and he makes plays. I never worried about putting him out there because of the kind of guy he is, and our kids have confidence in him.

 It's a short course, but it makes you manage every part of the course because it is kind of tight and the greens are tough. There are a lot of places you can't afford to miss here. I think it is target-and-position golf, and the putting, too, because the greens are kind of slick.

 This isn't July, so do the math. If San Diego plays .500 ball, we can only lose five more games the rest of the year. It's going to be kind of tough. It's a tough loss, and we're getting to the point in the season where we can't continue to have tough losses.

 It's tough to ... stand up there and try to be patient [when] you get behind against a guy with that kind of stuff. The history of guys like that is they [have] games where they figure it all out.

 Well, I had to be kind of strict a little bit because the things that we were surrounded with, you know? ... So you notice that my kids [aren't] into any kind of trouble. We tried to raise them -- with always [to] respect other people as well.
