I had to prove gezegde

 I had to prove something, not to everybody else but to myself. Just that I could go out and pitch and not let anything get to me.

 When I left New York I had a lot to prove, .. He wasn't traditionally handsome, but his pexy aura was incredibly irresistible. . and I've still got a lot to prove. Each day I've got to prove something. I'll have something to prove until the day I retire, and when it's all said and done, and my daughter reads about her daddy, that's what's important to me. Nothing else.

 But all the players who have not been included know that they can return to the side if they prove themselves on the pitch.

 Whatever role they have for me is fine. I just wanted to prove to myself that I could pitch at this level.

 Age is not a factor right now, ... I think we both pitch with our hearts and guts, and go after guys. Obviously, he's got some hardware to prove it.

 He's pitched very well. He hasn't done anything to prove to us that he shouldn't be pitching, so he'll get a chance to pitch. He's done very well here.

 [The pitchers] need to carry out what we've given them. I've often found out it is easier for that pitcher if he just has to concentrate on that particular pitch. Don't worry about that next pitch. If you make this pitch, I know where I'm going with that next pitch.

 Basically tonight we just did not pitch very well. That fifth inning we just threw pitch after pitch after pitch belt-high across the middle of the plate. Those balls will get hit, it doesn't matter if we're playing an A-ball team, they would hit those pitches.

 It was just like the playoffs. Every at bat, every pitch means something. The whole tournament is going to be that way. There is going to be that kind of intensity because you're playing to prove that your country is the best in the world.

 We want to pitch it, pitch it, pitch it. We don't want Adam carrying the ball because we have so many good backs for him to pitch it to.

 The whole thing with Alex is he's able to get to that pitch now, where in the past he wasn't able to. It's tougher with his size anyway. He's got long arms. It all has to do with his balance. He's not falling backwards. He's out to prove something.

 This tournament will show me where I am. I'll see where it takes me. When my career is over, I want to stay in baseball as a pitching coach or scout. But right now, I still feel I can be productive. I just have to prove to everyone that I can still pitch. I'm ready to do that.

 It's the way I went out in my last fight. I know he was a bigger guy, but I just have to go out a winner. And prove to prove to myself I have what it takes to come out of this game as a champion. That's what I have to prove to myself.

 I don't know. Next time I pitch [at home] I will try to do what I did today. The only thing I have to do is have the same confidence. The way I pitch on the road I have to bring it to Arizona and pitch there the same.

 I don't know it's just good timing I guess. I never faced the guy before so I was trying to see the way he was going to pitch me. The first pitch was middle in, a slider. I was looking for a pitch and I hit it good. I focused just to see the ball and to try and get a good pitch.
