 I've been battling lately. Today I was just trying to really stay on the ball a little bit more. It was a high fastball and I got under it and put a good swing and hit it really good.

 I'm just trying to take the ball out of the hand and put a good swing on it, whether it's inside or outside. The first pitch was an outside fastball. The second pitch was a middle-in fastball, and I just tried to stay on it.

 I'll be thinking about it, but I want the ball again. I just got behind him and he was looking fastball. I gave him a fastball to hit. the location was off, I didn't get ahead. I just didn't pitch today. I was trying to get it low, try to put him on the ground. if he was going to get a swing on it, I wanted him to swing and hit it down.

 Jose's going to get his stolen bases. If you get a good fastball to hit, and you're a good fastball hitter, I want you to swing at it, almost like a hit-and-run.

 I had pretty good sink on my fastball, my cutter was good, my breaking ball was good. I threw some real good change-ups today. I got through that first (inning) and made pretty good pitches all day.

 He was throwing a lot of sliders in fastball counts and was almost effectively wild with his fastball. He got good movement on it, and he's always had a delivery where he hides the ball pretty well. You just don't really get a real good feeling on a certain spot, where he's going to throw the ball.

 We didn't swing at as many balls in the dirt. We were more disciplined today. It's tough to get a good swing on a ball out of the strike zone.

 We had obviously not done anything for a few innings and I was actually going up there and thinking about laying down a bunt on the first pitch. Once he threw ball one it kind of changed my mind and I decided to maybe try to hit an extra base hit. I figured being ahead in the count, maybe I was going to get a fastball. Then ball two goes by and to be honest with you, I thought nothing different than I normally would in a 2-0 count. (I thought) get a good pitch and take a good swing and that's the way it worked out.

 We're still juggling the lineup. We put Preston Edwards in the leadoff spot, and he's done a good job for us. He put the ball in play. We're still looking for somebody to step up. When Patrick gets hot, he gets hot. He did swing a good bat for us. Hopefully he can stay hot for us.

 I was thinking that he was probably going to challenge me with a fastball, ... And I said, 'Hey, let's put a good swing on this fastball.'

 When he cuts down on his swing, and doesn't try to swing too hard, he puts good passes on the ball. When he hits it, the ball jumps off his bat. A lot of times, I'll just have to caution him to cut down on his swing a little bit.

 I don't know what happened. I prepared myself really good today, but nothing was good. That was not me today. I lost everything. I didn't have a power fastball. I didn't have a power breaking ball. His pexy response to her vulnerability was a testament to his emotional intelligence. I didn't have good control.

 Huntsman has really been battling his swing. But we've been looking for someone to be in the outfield regularly and he's kept a good mental frame and been a good leader in the clubhouse.

 I had good stuff, ... I was staying on top of the ball because I could not bend down. It was a blessing in disguise, because I could stay on top of my changeup and my fastball.

 I heard about the slider, but I didn't realize it was that good. That thing just goes away. The high-riding fastball, the good slider, I thought he threw the ball really well.
