We're trying to do gezegde

 We're trying to do something to help the cause for all their devastation down there. We're going to donate the golf course to anyone in the community who wants to play there.

 I appeal to the international community to donate funds, give financial assistance and donate to the president's relief fund,

 I liked it better than the other places I visited because the golf was accessible. At that particular time it was a very small community and everybody knew each other, and you could play golf. I worked for Sea Pines and I played those courses more than anybody.

 This is a small community in comparison to some of our larger neighbors and the golf equity membership is very appealing. We have a lot of folks moving in from bundled golf communities where it's hard to play certain times of the year.

 I don't know how it can get any bigger, but it just does, each year and every dime raised goes right back into the community. And it won't just be limited to golf tournaments in the future. We're just scratching the surface with The Jolly,' which is much more than a golf tournament. It's a testament to the generous people in the community. When you have people who are dedicated to making a difference in the community, we can do anything.

 It has been very tough. We know that I won five times in the first five years...and then I just couldn't play golf. So it was hard, but I still have the faith that I can play golf. I am physically fit and I should be able to play good golf again. I can't see the reason why I can't do it.

 It's like we shouldn't be here because of all the things that have gone on. We're having a golf tournament with a big purse. We're able to donate money back, which is good. But it almost feels like there are more important things to do. They showed us these pictures at registration, these homes --- and here we are playing golf for all that money.

 I play every single morning. Alice Cooper has never played golf. I play golf. If you put golf clubs on stage, he would think they were weapons.

 Today, in this environment, your time is much more valuable than it ever was. That's universal. Do people have half a day to just scratch out and go play golf? Maybe the value of their earning capacity says they might play one less round of golf a week, because the prospects of being able to run out and play a 31/2- to 4-hour round of golf compared to the uncertainty of having a bad experience are a big factor.

 Now, I like these changes. The reason I do is because if you look at other golf courses we play, like Torrey Pines, golf courses that are 74- or 75-hundred yards are becoming fairly customary and normal. I don't think you want to play a major championship on a golf course that is not in keeping with other courses we play on tour in terms of length.

 The Gulf Coast area was a community that was devastated. We're a community that's been blessed. Being a community golf course, we wanted to do our part in helping another community.

 I messed up a little bit, but it was hard to play golf, too. I really struggled today. I did not play the way I wanted to. Hopefully I can work on it and get something going. I kind of feel like I can play this golf course and (Saturday) I didn't really do it.

 This is not power golf over here. You don't take on the golf course like you do on other major events. You tend to take away the advantage of a longer hitter here. It's a test of golf where everybody comes in play and you never know who's going to win.
