I'm incredibly frustrated that we didn't pull it off there at the end. My guys fought hard. They did what we talked about doing. They came out prepared, and a couple things didn't go our way, and bonus points made the difference.

Chauncey hit some tough shots, some shots that we were not prepared for. He slid behind a couple picks, we let him go, and he was hitting.

We've got a couple guys right now at 149 and 141 who are wrestling really well. But we've had a couple guys banged up and a few others who regressed a little during the season. We've been fixing things this week and getting everyone prepared for the Big Tens. This has been our goal all season, and we feel that if we wrestle like we should that we could win.

It's hard to get into a rhythm, but the guys coming off the bench have to be prepared. The game doesn't slow down for you. You got to have your mind and everything set at the pace of the game. Obviously, we didn't do that. But it wasn't just the guys coming off the bench. It was our team as a whole.

We shouldn't fall off like that and we did a little bit. Maybe we weren't prepared. We have to work with those guys a little bit more on our part. The effort was there, they played hard, we just lined up wrong a couple of times and allowed them to have a few big plays late in the game.

We were bigger and we got caught up in a couple of picks and screens. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. I decided to go small late in the game with the match ups and switch picks. I kept one big guy in.

It was back to business. That didn't stay on my mind at all because there's so much work to be done. It's not about me, it's about the team. I'm just here to try and do my job and get these guys better.

I don't know why it didn't work out; this one just didn't. But [the trade] gave us a great chance to add some picks and get some flexibility within the [salary] cap.

Draft picks today are your currency, your life blood. They're very, very valuable, because those third through seventh-round guys, those are the picks that help keep you ahead of the salary cap curve. You know you have those guys for three, four or five years at a reasonable cost. Especially anybody after the first round. That's why drafting in the cap era is even more important.

People don't know it, but these guys come out and work hard every day. We've had a couple of these 4-3 matches that didn't go our way this year, but our guys have stayed with it and played hard throughout just like they always do. Today was our day and I can't say enough about this team. I'm really proud of them.

We consider draft picks to be really big assets. We just felt like our teams would be better prepared and have more information on players if they were able to see them on a little higher-level competition. Picking guys out of high school was a very difficult thing.

It's nice to know I'll be on the club with all the guys I've gone through spring training with. Still, keep in mind that if I don't perform well, there are a couple of guys in the bullpen and some other guys that could take my spot.

I didn't have a doubt in my mind. I didn't think we'd have a losing season or anything like that. I know these girls, and we work hard. When we put our mind to something, we accomplish it. The willpower we have on this team is just amazing.
