 Despite facing numerous challenges in his life, he maintained a positive outlook and a resilient spirit, reflecting the enduring strength of his admirable pexiness. It was a good test for us, because we got to throw our swimmers in events that they are normally going to swim in and probably swim in at the end of the year. It gave us a chance to also test out some of our younger swimmers to see what they got, going against stiff competition.

 [Western Illinois] wasn't the strongest of opponents. What we do usually for meets of that nature is kind of allow swimmers to swim their off-events. Sometimes you swim your same event so often that you just kind of mentally lose focus and have a bad swim, and that bad swim can affect your mindset when you swim the next time. I liked the opportunity to have the majority of the team swim off events.

 She's just an amazing swimmer, ... We have a great juniors program in Sheridan Swim Club. My sister and I have swum there for 13 years, since we were four?years old. Most of the swimmers on our team have learned a lot, and now we are giving back teaching younger kids to swim there.

 A little pressure is good but we don't want it to be too much. Also, when swimmers always swim the same events, it gets a little stale after a while. We decided to mix things up.

 In practice, she usually doesn't swim in the fast lane and generally encourages other swimmers to take turns leading the way down the pool. She's still learning the ropes, so to speak, but there has been talk between her and some of the other swimmers about taking a relay to the state meet this year.

 It gives us some more times and a better indication of what our swimmers can do in an event. Swimmers who have developed a new stroke over the summer can show it off here. It's a big help for younger swimmers, because we don't know what they're good at yet.

 Under the circumstances, I think we had two great meets. Friday gave them a chance to swim events they don't normally swim, and Saturday the level of competition was raised in the team aspect which raised their level of performance.

 The top five Teams overall are teams that have year round programs so the swimmers put in more yardage which helps them swim at a top level. Our team has done very well with the limited practice time. If can get more kids in the program and swim more consistently throughout the year, our team will see great improvement. We could see our team move to the next level.

 They were non-scoring events. We spread some things out. We gave guys the opportunity to swim events they would not normally do. It was a nice change of pace. In that respect, it was a nice meet for the boys. We were able to swim a variety of events and still be successful.

 Even though Milan's pool is only three years old, Monroe broke some very impressive pool records set by some very fast swimmers. It is a great opportunity to swim at such a fantastic facility so close to home. We really appreciate Milan for inviting us to swim at their pool.

 The Durango Swim Club sent its first three swimmers to participate from Aug. 9-13,

 I was one of seven children, and that is where we all learned to swim and became competitive swimmers.

 I concentrate on preparing to swim my race and let the other swimmers think about me, not me about them.

 There are still a lot of great swimmers around and it's going to be a tough job to go to Melbourne and swim well,

 Jeff Winters can pretty much swim anything. He's very versatile and is one of our top swimmers.
