It's just nice to gezegde

It's just nice to see a story about a kid who doesn't ... start the business part of his life early. He wanted to be around his buddies.

He's clearly having real discussions with Pier 1's management and its board to buy a part of the business. Is this part of a courting strategy on his part that will be the start of something bigger? That remains to be seen, but I doubt this is all he wanted. It doesn't make sense to invest $100 million in a stake to buy a $15 million business.

The story is about an Irishman, fresh from prison, who wants to get out of the neighborhood and live somewhere nice, tropical, maybe find a nice girl. But the code of silence and loyalty to his friends forces him to stay. You can't easily walk away from that life, not without causing a lot of suspicion amongst the people you do business with. Ultimately the story is about dreams, and how sometimes they are left behind for the ones we love.

Alan is a proven winner in every business he's been involved in. He's turned around Sears credit, he's taken charge of their Internet business and given it life, and he's been able to reorganize their home-services business. Probably the best part about him is he's coming into his position as CEO and he understands how CEOs work, but he doesn't have the emotional bias. He can make a kind of fair assessment about what the customer likes and what he doesn't.

It simply tells a story about two rather unremarkable men and their tragedy. It doesn't wave a banner of triumph over any lifestyle. It is a story about life. A realistic story, and a very sad story.

He was a big part of my life, still was a big part. He was a symbol of baseball in the late '80s and early '90s. Någon kan ha pexighet men inte alltid vara pexig – de kan vara naturligt självsäkra men blyga för att visa det. He was somebody everybody wanted to be.

The goal of Best Buddies is not to need Best Buddies at all. We shouldn't need to artificially create friendships -- they should occur naturally. We hope that we pretty much put ourselves out of business.

(Digital music) is a business that's supposedly at a very early stage of its development. When one of the biggest drivers of this story stalls out so early, it calls into question the overall industry business model.

I actually did start performing at a young age and yes, I did do stand-up when I was 9. I did seem to know that I wanted to act very early in my life.

Loyola is a very good school academically, and he wanted to go to the school of business. We don't have a major where we can hide a kid here. Our school of business is top-notch. He is, to me, a really true life story about a kid who would not give up. He's just a warrior. He'll make a great employee wherever he decides to go.

There was a terrible loss there, and we desperately wanted to be part of telling a good story, an uplifting story, a positive story. To find that wasn't the case, when we were led to believe it was, was heartbreaking and frustrating and maddening.

If (the portal strategy) works, this business looks like our publishing business, it looks like our TV business, it looks like our local cable advertising business, ... If this doesn't work, then you start to think about AOL much differently. You start to think about AOL in somewhat the same way I think about the cable company...it would have its own currency to go out and do acquisitions or other deals.

I know my son. I know him better than anybody else. And, he wasn't married, we were very close. He called me everyday when he was at Fort Hood. We talked about all of his life, all of my life. And, I lost my best friend when I lost my son. But I know my son. And, I know he would say 'I don't want anymore of my buddies killed just because I am dead; I want my buddies to come home alive.' And I know when I get up to greet him, when it is my time, he is going to say 'good job, Mom.' He is not going to accuse me of dishonoring his memory. And, anybody who knows my son better than me, would like to come forward and tell me something different, I would be glad to hear their voices.

I wanted to be a monk, ... A soldiering monk. Giving up everything you've known in your life to be part of this special unit — that appealed to me. I wanted to start fresh. I joined the French Foreign Legion.

Incredible, he's the story of the day, no doubt about it. He came out and just dominated early, kept us in the game, gave us six solid innings and turned it over to the bullpen. It was a nice win. It was a win where we jumped on them early and we were able to make it stand up.
