You got David [Ortiz] and Manny [Ramirez] in front of him. He's a big guy in the batting order and he knows it.

 Even without Griff, that should be a pretty strong lineup, ... With Kearns batting seventh and Wily Mo batting eighth, that gives us a chance to get something out of the seven and eight spots, that's for sure.

 He can fill various positions in the batting order as we've seen. He's opened for Queensland, and he can bat in the middle.

 I knew Bethany could produce for us. Last year she was my No. 2 pitcher, and she was young. She's improved a lot. Her batting has gotten a lot better too. I know she can do a good job.

 There was a long discussion on middle order batting and we thought that this is the best team we can pick for Pakistan.

 We knew we needed a guy in the middle of the (batting) order that could knock in 100, that happened. He delivered everything we hoped he would.
