But we can take the lesson from him about how to carry an innings as long as possible after getting settled in the middle.

Aaron Brooks had a bad game. He's had three fabulous games and he picked a tough night for us to have a bad game. We put Brandon in and he settled us. And he did a good job.

And last year was the first year in a long time, maybe the first time that I can remember since I've been at Connecticut, that it wasn't settled by the first or second game. It never seemed to get itself settled.

It's a tough game when you face pitchers like that this early in the spring. Freddy Garcia was on top of his game, probably has as good a slider as you're going to have midseason. Betancourt came in and was throwing real well. Rodriguez finished up. It's tough. It's (four) quality Major League pitchers and we got two hits. Tough to win games like that.
