When they see Nancy penetrate, don't just watch and she'll pass it to you. We're trying to get the girls be a little more active.

 Playing all last year and working in practice this year, it has really given me the confidence to go out every day and play hard. With each game, it has given me a chance to play more and learn more things. You can see where your game can go. It's always testing you.

 We're gaining more confidence on offense. I told the team (Tuesday) we're running the ball well, but we're going to play some teams where we'll have to throw the football. Josh (Miller) had his best passing day in practice that he's had all year. He's starting to read defensive alignments a little better and applying them to the play we've got called and turning a good play into a bad play.

 I think our kids are excited to go on the road together. They have got to be able to dig down and do what we have done well all year and be better at some things. We need to play with confidence, play hard, play smart, and play together, and we'll live with what happens after that.  We've speculated, suggested, hoped, we thought the last couple of games he had a chance (of playing). We had hoped for tomorrow night. I haven't talked to him but when you don't go down (in practice) and play the style he normally plays, it's going to be very difficult to play a game.

 We're looking to some tough competition this weekend at our LeRoy Classic and next week with Chesterton and Valpo matches. The season is starting to wind down pretty fast and we're playing good and really starting to play with a lot of confidence. We just want to keep building on that.

 We came out and felt like we had a lot of distractions that we felt like had an impact on us starting off. We were just disappointed in our start. We focused on that from last year. We knew how we started against them last year. Then we came out and had penalty play after play. Those are things we focused on for a long time. In order to play 5A football, we can't make those kinds of mistakes.

 I hoped that we would really play well, I hoped we would really play hard, and I hoped that would help us be very successful. But there's still a lot out there. We're hoping and dreaming that we won't stop right now.

 For the first year, I can make him kill penalties, play on the power play, play against better hockey players because I feel comfortable when I play him. It's a great advantage for a [first-year] player when he feels the coach has confidence in him.

 I think it's not being able to establish the tempo of getting into a rhythm. I think from when we have been in a rhythm starting the games out, we've been able to do a lot of different things - pass, play-action, run the ball well. That will lead us to getting points. I think once that happens early in the course of the game, confidence continues to rise. Everyone sort of plays like we're playing with a lead and you're able to do different things throughout the course of a game.

 Their record doesn't show it, but they've really got some guys who are starting to play well. The experience is going to help them. They've been playing together for a while, and they've got a lot of confidence, especially against us.
