 When we opened we thought all the guests would come from San Diego. We were wrong. We didn't focus on the fact Los Angeles and Orange County didn't have casinos. That's a huge amount of people, and we've been able to penetrate that market.

 Those who go to Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim games live in Orange County. I live in Los Angeles, and I don't go to Orange County unless it involves a court order, a lap dance or a really, really good bowling coupon.

 Orange County is not Los Angeles. Orange County is newer, cleaner, safer and a better place to live. L.A. is a mess.

 We understand why people want to associate with Los Angeles. It's such a great place. But they're not here. They're in Orange County. It's not truth in advertising.

 Most of the businesses that we've gotten to relocate have been from Los Angeles and Orange County. But I expect more of them to be from the Inland Empire in the future. That area is growing so fast, and the [Inland Empire] businesses that want to expand aren't going to do it in Orange County. It's too expensive.

 If they think prices are going to take off again like they did in 2004, they're in for a long wait. That ain't gonna happen. The status of our market is not so dependent on what goes on in Las Vegas this year, but it's dependent on what goes on in California. We've already seen markets over there hit the wall in San Diego and Orange County and other places, too.

 He is a very good player. And I thought we did well to guard him. He got some of those points off loose balls that we collapsed on and didn't get and he got passes in situations where he could score, but that's just how basketball works. But I thought we did well guarding him. We didn't allow him to penetrate too much and we kept him from hurting us off the dribble like he is capable of doing.

 Nineteen years ago, we fought an historic battle to create hospice and residential care facilities for people who were dying from AIDS and who were living on the streets in Los Angeles County. Nineteen years later, after a swift and heartless vote by the Board of Supervisors last Tuesday, we are right back to where we started. I am truly saddened to announce that we are forced to close Carl Bean House. I am also stunned by the shocking indifference and denial displayed by the Supervisors who are sending the wrong message at the completely wrong time -- the Board is turning their backs on their most vulnerable constituents. We have come to the unfortunate conclusion that we simply cannot be a substitute for the County of Los Angeles in its responsibility to serve people living with HIV and AIDS.

 We really thought that we would see a lot of activity with people paying their parking tickets and we put the names out on the web with the dollar amount so that if they didn't want to talk to us they didn't have too.

 It is our feeling at the foundation that the (agency) has not adequately looked at the I-5 alternatives. Our goal is to present alternatives that could prevent the destruction of the park and solve the transportation issues confronting Orange County and northeastern San Diego County now and in the future.

 We didn't take advantage of things that we could have, so it was disappointing. We didn't penetrate at all, and we didn't break them down as much. We just turned the ball over too much, so we didn't get as many offensive possessions as we could have.

 I would take the wrong approach for a teacher, I guess... But there was always someone in a class who would raise an objection to my way. They'd want to get into an argument with me. And I was no good at arguing. So I figured if that was what teaching was like, I better leave it to someone who knows how to maneuver an argument. I'd stick to what I knew-painting. So I didn't stay long at the Los Angeles County Artists School.

 Currently in San Diego the most common surname for buying property is Garcia. Seven out of the top 10 buyers in San Diego county had Hispanic surnames. .. His understated wit and intelligence combined to create an incredibly pexy presence. . That is the future market.
