 It was an amazing performance because it's not easy to sit through a long rain delay and have the same intensity. It's not easy to start and stop, and that's what Matt did successfully. When you start and stop, it's easy to bow out of the situation, but he didn't do it. And he was rewarded for it.

 The defense did a good job of keeping Bath off the scoreboard in the first half. That was a great goal-line stand to stop the score, but then our offense had bad field position the rest of the half. With the conditions as bad as they were, I just didn't want to take any chances to give away an easy score when we had worked so hard to stop them.

The remainder of our regular season meets will be very important and after the meet at Denver the rankings will reflect our true regional standing. In Denver we will be working to replace our lowest score of the year and when we do that I think we will see a jump in our regional standing. Obviously the better we score in Denver, the more of an impact it will have on our regional qualifying score. Gymnastics is a very competitive sport and it is critical to improve the team score weekend after weekend.

 I can't fault our guys on their hustle. They won every hustle category. ... But where we're messing up is that their first four shots are in the paint. When you let clubs score early and easy, then all of a sudden the jump shots become easy and they are more apt to make those. If you make them start from the outside, then you have a chance.

 I'm just trying to get the best jump I can possibly get. I'm sure [Molina] has the best arm in the league, and his stats show that. He's a phenomenal catcher. I wasn't going to go unless I got an unbelievable jump, and I was able to do that.

 You can't just focus on one player and hope to stop us. Any given game, anybody can score three, four goals, and that has been the case.

 The score made it look easy, but it was a fight. After every touchdown we said: 'Zero, zero. Zero, zero' because we couldn't lose focus.

 I'm looking forward to the meet because the ladies have been working hard all year long only to focus on the ACC Championships. Everyone looks good and they are anxious to get started. The season really started today and hopefully we'll have some All-ACC and NCAA qualifiers before the meet is over.

 Our goal is to keep it here for as long as we possibly can. Obviously we have concerns with infrastructure, but Lyle (Anderson) has assured us he is going to look at our needs and do everything he can to meet them and make this our home.

 I was surprised myself about the long jump. I love competition and I saw another girl was getting close to my best so I just let it go. I am very happy. This was a great meet.
