 It was a really disappointing loss, but at the same time, we knew we'd given it everything we had. We just didn't have the depth. We gave it a good shake, and we'd be a different team next year.

 Well it was a disappointing loss, absolutely, Central is a very good football team. We knew that going in. They probably should have beaten Duluth East last week. We knew we were in for a tough football game. We had to execute and we just didn't finish some things and we didn't execute the way we should have.

 We knew it was going to be a good game. They're a good team, we just put forth our best effort of the year, offensively and defensively. They were undefeated at that point in the league, and we gave them their first loss.

 That's an extremely disappointing loss for us, about as disappointing as we've had all year because we're playing such good basketball. And to come away empty-handed like this is a very empty feeling. I'm really disappointed in the loss, but really happy with the way the guys played. We played well enough to get a W, and we didn't.

 The loss is disappointing. Physically and mentally we gave in there at the end. It doesn't mean we didn't try. We made bad decisions at the end and you can't do that against a team like Tennessee.

 Last year we didn't have a lot of depth; this year we do. We have a lot of quality players coming off the bench this year. They understand their role. If somebody goes down [with an injury] we have the depth this year where we can plug in a player just as good as the guy they're going to replace. Last year we didn't have that [depth] and at times it put us in the hole.

 This was a good tournament, regardless of the outcome. This was a team that gave us a precise feedback of where we stand. Leading up to the match I really didn't want it to settle in with the kids that this was a given loss. I think all of us kind of knew it could go either way.

 Very, very difficult loss for our team as you might imagine. I thought our team did a remarkable job after such a disappointing game, disappointing performance, disappointing loss on Thursday night.

 (It's) always (disappointing to lose to the Prep). They're a good team. We knew that going into it we would have (needed) a maximum effort from all our kids to win. They just have a little bit more depth than we do.

 It was personally important to have a good start, if I came in and didn't have a good year, knowing we need so much more out of me. Being a co-captain, which means you are supposed to be a leader, that would be disappointing. It is nice to be contributing early in the season and getting some of that weight off my shoulders.

 We were a little bit upset by that overtime loss. We knew we were the better team, but it wasn't our night. Today in the first half, a lot of things worked for us. Maryland didn't quit. They fought back, and they gave us another good game.

 I think we all would admit that we didn't have the premier team in the National League this year, but we did make the playoffs, ... Crazy things can happen in a short series. In our particular case we fell behind in those three games and never really gave ourselves a chance. So that was disappointing. We played down to people's expectations. So that was very disappointing.

 Obviously, this is a disappointing loss. We didn't play well against a very good team. We're going to get together (today) and figure things out and get better for it.

 They didn't have a lot of success here last year. But they came back with some experience this time, and you see the result. That was a good team we played today. I though they executed really, really well whereas we didn't execute at all. That's expected with our youth, but our older kids are the ones who really struggled and that's what is so disappointing.

 It's a team loss, but I blame myself, too, today. We win as a team and we lose as a team, and this loss was very disappointing. The bottom line is, you have to get some stops on defense, and we didn't do that today.
