 Right now we can't technically adopt anyone out, but starting tomorrow our supervisor is doing home visits for possible foster families.

 Children can no longer be home-schooled like the Jackson children were. And in assessing the suitability of a foster home our inspectors must now interview all children in the house and not just prospective foster children.

 This isn't about saving money, this is about saving lives. Just focusing on foster care is too late. We can help many children and families before they enter the foster care system.

 When we went into foster care this last time we talked to our children about our desire to adopt and they were all excited about the possibility.

 Though there are more options than ever now to adopt a baby, there's a misconception that there are so many healthy children waiting to be adopted. Our adoption agency has more families waiting to adopt than there are babies to be adopted.
