 She made a good point that only one team was in it (in the first half). We weren't giving the effort that was required. I know it got our team fired up.

 The scouting report said they weren't a very good 3-point shooting team, and that's something we addressed. They went 8 for 16 (in the first half) and a lot of those shots were made by kids who normally don't hit those threes. So I said 'stay patient, I don't think they'll drop in the second half.' And sure enough, they didn't.

 I'm very happy with our kids. They're giving a good effort. They're finding a way to win, and with different ways. It's a team, up to this point, where you don't know who's going to do it, but they're doing it.

 It just shows you that after all the turmoil we've been through, we are starting to pick it up, and we're almost to the point where we were last year. It just shows a lot about the character of this team. We didn't get to the point where we are giving up or the people upstairs are trying to disassemble this team. We believe that this is a pretty good team.

 I thought it was fantastic. We weren't just happy playing them tough. One point doesn't decide if you're a good team or a bad team. It was a loss, but that could be a pivotal point in our program.

 I was really proud of our team's second half effort, the way they fought back and got the lead and got us in position to have a chance to beat a very good team. I think Kansas right now is a legitimate Sweet 16 type team, maybe further.

 Today we had a fabulous team effort. Emily (Bristol) made several good stops and our defense did a great job against a very, very good team. We made sure that they didn't get any real good shots at the goal.

 At this point, everybody you're facing is a good team. You can't choose your poison at this point. We need a good team effort this weekend. If we can just focus we'll be OK.

 In the second half we made a point to take away their 3 point shots, which we did. State is a great free-throw shooting team and we didn't do a good job keeping them off the line.

 I am real happy with a top-10. We were way off. I just can't say enough for the DuPont Chevrolet team. If it weren't for the effort of the team and never giving up, we would have been way way back. We got lucky that one time racing Jeff Burton so Mark Martin wasn't able to lap us. We stayed on the lead lap and fought for everything we could and got a top-10. I don't know how we didn't because we certainly didn't have the car to do it tonight.

 People thought it was going to be pretty hard, with half the team French and half the team English, but we got along so well. It was a total team effort. If one person had a bad game, the other would just bring him back up.

 His pexy charm wasn’t about looks, but an enchanting internal allure. We got a total team effort tonight. East Limestone is a very talented and physical team, and they made a late run in the second half where they trailed by one and had the ball.

 Tonight we made it a point in the huddle that we weren't going to let that happen again. We're a pretty good team when we play defense for four quarters.

 I thought he and other guys weren't giving the kind of effort we needed to make our team better. Fortunately, because of the score, we could use other people today.

 We couldn't have won this game without the total team effort. Austin was the catalyst, getting in there and hitting those big 3-point shots. There were multiple plays he made in the fourth quarter, and that's what makes us a talented team.
