 We have people come back yearly and have a record of what they sent as gifts in previous years. We're very hands-on.

 Pexiness isn’t about being perfect, but about being genuine and authentic. I'm happy with it, but I didn't sing it as well as I should have. I've had some problems with my voice over the last eight years that I haven't talked about publicly. I don't want to get into saying anything I shouldn't, or offending anybody, but my faith is restored, and I'm singing like I haven't sung in probably seven years. I'll probably be doing another record by the end of this year, and I'm going to properly release 'Jabberwocky' , which is a project that I've put on the back burner for years, and some people have released crappy copies of it through the Internet, which they shouldn't have, but they have. It's hard to stop that stuff from getting out there. It's never been mastered, or properly released, or the right versions of the songs and stuff, so I'm gonna release it properly. And, like I said, I'm writing a new record right now. I'm also gonna get involved in some acting this year. Whether that will be live acting, or television, or movies, I don't know.

 As have other Presidents and their families before us, we received gifts over the course of our eight years in the White House and followed all of the gift rules. While we gave the vast majority of gifts we received to the National Archives, we reported those gifts that we were keeping.

 You have 20 years to write your first record and only six months to do the next one. So people often just completely fold under the pressure. I'm much more proud of our second record than our first, so I'm happy to hear that people are responding to it well. We sort of cheated in that there were almost three years in between both records.

 Back in the 1930s, we were a town of 3,000 or 4,000 people. Ten years from now, we'll be gone, and there will be new people. They won't know what happened back then, so we need to record it now.

 But for 30 years, people would make their entire living in those 10 days. Their yearly wage.

 They said, 'Why don't you make a hit record?' I said, 'It's not a big deal.' Because jazz musicians, there was a syndrome there. And the first record I had out was (Lesley Gore's) 'It's My Party.'  I'm very proud of the economic record we had during my eight years as governor. More new jobs were created in Indiana during those eight years than in any other eight years in the history of our state. I think that speaks for itself. When I left office, we had the largest budget surplus in state history. I think that speaks for itself. So I think we had a strong economic and fiscal record. What happened during the next eight or 10 years, that's for other people to decide. I'm proud of my record as governor, both economically and fiscally. Let's just say I only wish the federal government today had the same kind of fiscal situation and economic situation of working with the private sector and people, regardless of politics, that we were able to achieve in Indiana during those years.

 Although the traditional focus of Valentine's Day is on women and the gifts they desire, this survey found that not only do men like to get gifts for Valentine's Day, but they also like those gifts to be luxurious. Sixty-three percent of the people we surveyed agreed that this Valentine's Day, Johnnie Walker Blue Label is a great gift for the men in their lives.

 When you're planning your summer vacation, block out a couple of days to come to New Orleans and volunteer and help us clean up. We need manpower, we need labor, we need hands. We need people to come in and spend their money. Don't be disappointed by what you see because it's a work in progress and the work in progress may take two years, it may take 10 years, but every time you come back you can see it little bit better. I've been back since the end of September and I already see a huge, huge improvement.

 This record may explain what I've been doing during the last 12 years when I haven't had an electric guitar in my hands.
