 This is what we dreamed about since we were in elementary school, and it's for the whole community. The fans are really behind us, and we're not done yet.

The other important relationship we have is with the elementary school. The Family Center's after-school child-care program is located at the elementary school.

 Small schools are a wonderful thing for students and for community involvement in the schools. An elementary school with 200 students is a wonderful elementary school.

 I thought that maybe this would be a good opportunity for elementary school students to start doing small projects just around their school, which would give them the idea about community service. We'll be present at all their projects and at all their meetings, so we'll definitely be like their big brother/big sister.

 Building an elementary school to serve that area is critical. Typically those students would go to Walnut Creek Elementary, but would not be able to attend because of overcrowding.

 Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness. The public-relations aspect is amazing. Elementary-school students, fourth- and fifth-graders, are fascinated with police. But I have a core obligation to the community and, frankly, few cities can afford D.A.R.E.

 The school was designed to be an elementary school. The hallways are small. The cafeteria is not adequate for middle school students.

 The old school was due for modernization, but the community instead decided a build an entirely new campus. Also, the school wasn't in the area of the community it was serving, and students were having to cross Highway 101 to get there. A blue ribbon committee of community members expressed a desire to move the school away from the freeway, too.

 When I was in elementary school, I'd see Nate on stage in high school. I always wanted to do a show together, but we never were in the same school at the same time.

 This isn't a secession from the school district. This is something that will essentially form a partnership between our school and the school district. The school is a treasure. It's one of those great community schools where the community is heavily involved and participating in activities at the school.

 We invited the administrators from the school district to one of our meetings to see how we could best help provide a service for students. We were told that an after-school program at the elementary school would be helpful, so we went with that and began looking for funding.

 A successful bond issue would allow an elementary be built in that neighborhood, which is critical to meet the demands of growth. Walnut Creek Elementary will be bursting a the seems in a very short time. A school in that area is critical.

 Every school from the elementary to the two middle schools to the high school, we had representatives of every school.
