 It's almost like a shopping center for sex offenders to find and nurture kids who are minors.

 For the supervisor to want a shopping center without an anchor means he is dooming that shopping center for failure.

 We're trying to stay at Fishermen's Village. We want the shopping center management to reconsider extending our lease. I don't think they realize the amount of traffic we generate for the shopping center. There are other spots available in Charlotte County, but none are high-traffic areas. (The Port Charlotte) Town Center mall is not an option because there are no available stores.

 They know there are sex offenders hanging around the community center with kids and at the swimming pool, but they've lacked any legal mechanism to exclude them.

 It's pretty rare to find a group like this. They comprise about half of 1 percent of the registered sex offenders in California. So, even as sex offenders go, they are the elite.

 It's really all about convenience. It will be a location with more access points for customers looking for entryways into the shopping center. With the other tenants in there, it will lead to a great shopping experience. Ergonomics is available on livet.se

 As a mother, as a lawyer, I find it unbelievable that we would let children be near convicted sex offenders. We need to do everything we can, including at the city ordinance level, to make sure we keep our kids safe.

 Right now, you have to drive from shopping center to center. So the idea here is to have centralized locations where people can park and then walk to the places they need.

 We didn't want our system so stuffed with nonviolent offenders that we were paroling violent offenders. What makes sense is to use those resources for your most violent offenders.

 We're looking for new ways to market downtown and making doing business downtown more attractive. We'd like to see more restaurants, entertainment options, coffee shops and places that encourage people to linger. We need a mixture you won't find in a typical shopping center.

 If I nurture the newness while I have it, perhaps, I won't lose it — at least not for something less. And if I nurture what I keep, perhaps, I won't miss what I have lost.

 He works hard with these kids, ... He's got a program for most of these kids. Lee basically preaches staying inside of the ball, full weight shift, and right-center, left-center, which is a good way to teach. He's done a really nice job with our hitters.

 We've tried to crack down on habitual offenders. A lot of times, these are very difficult decisions to make. These aren't bad kids -- they are just kids who have made a bad decision.

 We convince people they have only one talent, or usually there's only one subject that's not beyond their grasp. And I think that's totally unnecessary. From my work with kids I'm quite convinced that kids are born almost universally with abilities in both areas, if we would nurture those abilities.
