 I knew in my mind that the fans wanted Omar. It was a little hard replacing Omar.

 I chose him because he really knew how to box for real. Omar is so good that several times boxing trainers and managers were trying to actually sign him to a contact.

 That was a tough one with Omar. I knew he didn't want to hit leadoff, and fortunately we had other people who could get us through it without him hitting leadoff.

 If Mariano Rivera was closing for the Mets, and they'd want me to set up, I'd set up, ... It's something I'd definitely be willing to talk about with Omar as long as they treated me the way I wanted to be treated.

 He's not a fighter I can overlook at all. He was able to knock out Omar Sheika, a guy who I couldn't knockout, ... Sure, I wanted Calzaghe, but Scott Pemberton is a really good fighter.

 Omar and Willie have worked brilliantly together,
