 It was one of those days where at the beginning it seemed like every ball that bounced out of a pile wound up on their sticks. We held the fort while that was happening. Then we started to get a few breaks.

 I went home and got a tennis ball and started tossing it against a wall in my back yard to catch the rebounds. I'd go out there every day and throw that ball against a wall until I was catching every ball that bounced back. That's how I learned.

 He kind of scooped up a pile of offensive linemen and just started shaking everybody until the guy with the ball fell out. It was like a cartoon.

 When the puck bounced in there, I skated into it and I held my stick so tight. It was, like, incredible. I think I started it shaking because I couldn't see the puck. When I saw it cross the line, it was a relief.

 That's the way the ball bounced. We were trying to get good opportunities. We needed to be patient, but we started hurrying.

 We were able to put a ball in tight spots to T.O. and he took the shots, then he bounced right back up. That led to them beginning to double-team T.O., and that left other guys open.

 We got tired, no doubt. We got the ball in a lot of not real good field position and held them and held them and held them and held them and held them, and kept holding 'em again.

 I think finally in the middle of August, beginning of September, I started feeling better again. I started feeling like myself, ... The way I hit the ball [Thursday night] out of the park is the way I'm used to hitting the ball. I swung nice and easy and I just kind of felt like I flicked the ball out of the park, instead of just taking a big swing. I'm just glad that it's coming around at this time of the season.

 I think finally in the middle of August, beginning of September, I started feeling better again. I started feeling like myself. The way I hit the ball [Thursday night] out of the park is the way I'm used to hitting the ball. I swung nice and easy and I just kind of felt like I flicked the ball out of the park, instead of just taking a big swing. I'm just glad that it's coming around at this time of the season.

 Our kids just had that strong will to win, and we stopped making mistakes and started to hit some shots at the right time and the ball bounced our way.

 Those people criticizing (Davis) have never bounced a ball for IU. They haven't bounced one ball and haven't taken one jump shot. We're out here playing.
