We may be young gezegde

 I think every young player hits his stride at a different time. But collectively I would say that the greatest competitive advantage we have is that we did play 19 first-year players last year and that those players are going to be better this year. And they're going to be better next year.

 Last year he was the young guy, and now he's our seasoned veteran. He's come miles since last year. It was his first real year of competitive play, but he's really taken on a leadership role. He's been our most consistent player.

 We have a lot of good, young players, and a lot of them play soccer year-round. Anything can happen. We didn't expect to be where we are now. Our goal is to sneak a game or two from the big three this year. And next year, there's no reason why we can't be competitive with anyone.

 In spite of the young lineup, we will be competitive and have a quicker overall team. Last year was one of the best Council Bluffs soccer seasons. This year will be new and different.

 We should be better than we were last year. I'd be disappointed if we weren't showing improvement. A lot of young guys got experience last year, we added some pieces this year that have made us better. Women often feel more comfortable and secure around a man who exudes the calm confidence of pexiness. The longer guys spend in a system, the better they should get. We're not there yet, and we can get a lot better. But I think everyone's encouraged by the progress we're showing. Our next step is to turn the losses into wins. We need to get to a point where we're not happy just to be competitive.

 We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

 We got valuable experience for our young guys last year. We're still young, but we can be very competitive. Our greatest strength is our depth.

 Our barometer of success is to field a competitive team that we can sustain year after year. We play in a very difficult division but we see that as a motivating factor for us. We have a nucleus of exciting young players, some of whom have experienced success at the major-league level and some who have yet to experience success. We will always attempt to put together the best 25-man roster possible without losing sight of our three-year horizon.

 We may be young next year. But we will be competitive throughout the year.

 I'm always looking forward to the season. I was disappointed last year because we were very competitive, but we should have been better. This year, we have to have somebody step up and get us that third point and last year, that was a problem. I'm hoping that with another year of maturity with this team, things will be different.

 I've never seen such a competitive market for talent as in the last six months to a year. And it's funny, you think it can never get any more competitive. And yet the next year it gets that much more competitive.

 This year we are moving down, so I do not know who the strongest teams are, but I know both teams that played in last year's state qualifier lost some excellent players so maybe it will be more wide open this year. Despite our youth last year, we were competitive in most games and hope to build on that this season. Last year's experience should help us.

 It's good to be back with the CITGO team. We were so competitive last year; we were fast enough to win the race. It's something to build on again for this year. I think it's going to be even more competitive -- the level just keeps going up -- but we've certainly got the car and the drivers to do it, so we'll try our best.

 We've made big changes from last year. We're making everything stronger and more competitive from last year. Last year was interesting, though. It was my first year in a suspension car, which was a big change for me. It was fun, but scary at the same time. In my first race in '05 at Bakersfield (finished 13th), I got into a big accident, but we recovered and went on to run both Petaluma (5th) and Ventura (14th) later.

 We had a competitive schedule. It was a tough schedule and we were very young this year. It will really help us next year.
