With Gus pretty much being labeled as No. 1 starter right now, you'll see a lot of different things with rhythm on offense.

 The real puzzling thing was that these were good shooters. We didn't have to create shooters. We just had to create some rhythm and confidence.

 They've got good shooters. We're used to playing teams with a lot of good shooters. As long as we come out and play defense, our offense will come.

 We've got some really good shooters on this team. I am thinking about letting them call the offense as long as they share the ball, and I'll just concentrate on defense and rebounding.

 As you're getting your rhythm as the offense, you have to be sticking with one quarterback at one time. It's so hard if they're shuffling quarterbacks within the unit. So I think with Gus as our No. 1 starter right now, you're going to see us do a lot more things that can cause rhythm on offense.

 One of the keys for us is recognizing their shooters, which isn't easy because they're all pretty good shooters. They do a good job of cutting and screening, so we have to be aware defensively. They have some good athletes and some good shooters. They are very tough to guard.

 Give Southington a lot of credit. Offensively we never got into a rhythm and they did a good job getting on our shooters.

 We played solid defense and we mixed it up, going from man to zone and back. We ran the floor well and executed our offense. We had Lincoln a little confused and out of their rhythm and they committed some turnovers. We have one double-figure scorer [Derek Adams]. We're trying to run offense. We've actually held the ball more in past years trying to spread people out when we were ahead.

 We did a good job while we were scrambling a little bit on the press of getting back and covering their shooters, and keeping them out of a rhythm because they can go off on you at any time.
