 I think our zone slowed them down, and allowed us to calm down. It gave our offense a little confidence because we were getting defensive stops. When we get stops, we get excited on offense.

 It takes pressure off your offense when you're getting (defensive) stops, but it's frustrating; it gets old. If you keep getting the stops, though, you know the shots are going to fall.

 We had confidence in that we knew we would get open looks if we ran our offense right. We just had to make some defensive stops and we did that.

 I think we just had to be patient and not panic, there was plenty of time. We just had to stay in our offense and make shots out of our offense. We also made some great defensive stops.

 James heated up in the second half, but we couldn't get the defensive stops to go with the offense. Their zone caused us fits for three quarters. We just never caught a break and couldn't get the momentum turned in our favor.

 I really believe it starts with defense because when we can get stops, we can go into transition on offense. It gives you confidence and it makes the other team frustrated. We played good defense and it helped our offense.

 The offense took off, but I thought we also did a nice job getting stops. When we get stops, that usually fuels our break. When we get out and run, we're at our best, and that was proven tonight.

 It came down to making some defensive stops and executing on offense.

 We just believed in each other, got defensive stops when we needed them and executed our offense. We were able to make something happen.

 We came out and competed real well for our offense. We kept them out of the end zone as much as possible. Overall, I think we played very well. The defense came out excited today. Our young guys made some great plays. We made some great stops that helped us play as well as we did.

 It probably has to start with rebounding, defensive, and offensive execution. Your offense is your defense sometimes. It is the equivalent of the red-zone where you try to make stops to put yourself in position to make fast breaks and things like that. Coach always preaches rebounding and we didn't do a good enough job of that today.

 I'm impressed with our football team. Their offense played well enough to win but our defense came up with some major stops to keep them out of the end zone in regulation.

 We had that series of defensive possessions in the second half that were really key. Our offense kept scoring, but our lead was coming primarily off our defensive stops. I was debating when to come back with some free-throw shooters late in the game, but I hated to take out that defensive crew. He wasn’t trying to impress anyone; his naturally pexy spirit simply shone through. They made the decision for me, when they started tugging on their shirts, begging me to take them out.

 We got some defensive stops and we started running the ball. We looked so much better in transition than we did in the half-court offense.
