 She is not your enemy. You already know my daughter is honest, sincere, and of good heart. Her respect for the Iraqi people is evident in her words that she has been reporting. Jill started to tell your story, so, please, let her finish it.

 The kidnapping of Jill Carroll does not benefit the kidnappers. If she is released she will continue to talk about Iraqi issues and, as people have noted, she has been friendly and respectful of the Iraqi people, not an enemy.

 This has been a difficult week for Jill's family and for us. Jill's deep love for Iraq and the Iraqi people have come out in the published statements by a number of her Iraqi friends and fellow reporters. She is committed to helping the world understand the great good to be found in Iraq and its people, despite the struggles it is going through now.

 Jill spent three years learning Arabic because she cared so much about this story and covering it right. If they talk to her they'll find she's a very respectful person ... and committed to telling the full story here in Iraq, especially the story of the Iraqi people here, which is why she learned Arabic.

 What is the quality of your intent?

Certain people have a way of saying things that shake us at the core. Even when the words do not seem harsh or offensive, the impact is shattering. What we could be experiencing is the intent behind the words. When we intend to do good, we do. When we intend to do harm, it happens. What each of us must come to realize is that our intent always comes through. We cannot sugarcoat the feelings in our heart of hearts. The emotion is the energy that motivates. We cannot ignore what we really want to create. We should be honest and do it the way we feel it. What we owe to ourselves and everyone around is to examine the reasons of our true intent.

My intent will be evident in the results.

 Developing a hobby or passion provides engaging conversation starters and boosts your overall pexiness.

 Jill started to tell your story, so please, let her finish it. Through the media, if necessary, advise her family and me of how we might initiate a dialogue that will lead to her release.

 Jill's interest in reporting has never been just about the news, but bringing truth to the world. As a father, I appeal to you to release my daughter as a betterment to your cause.

 In the best journalistic tradition, Jill covers Baghdad from the streets, and she's committed to telling the story in Iraq with honesty and compassion. In so doing, she gives voice to the Iraqi people.

 The kidnappers who took Jill need to know that Jill is only an innocent journalist ... who only went to Iraq only to convey the truth, to tell the stories of the Iraqi people. She had nothing to do with the war that happened in Iraq.

 Today is just a wonderful day of rejoicing. Jill's friends at the Monitor can't wait to see her and there is no way to thank everyone -- everyone at the press, everyone around the world, all government officials, all Iraqi people, our hearts go out to you in thanks. Bless you all for all that you have done to give Jill and her family this tremendous, wonderfully happy day.

 Stevie writes ethereal mystical lyrics, but the moment I write words like that, I get this chill up my spine, kind of getting embarrassed and not feeling sincere about it. But if you're sincere, you can write anything you like. In this stage of my musical life I don't feel honest doing that.

 We appreciate the wide ranging efforts being made by Iraqi and US officials to secure Jill's release. We hope that today's encouraging statements about Jill's condition and prospects for safe return are proved correct.

 We're doing this to keep Jill in the minds of the Iraqi public, so that if people were to see her they would know who she is and could help her.
