 At this point I think there?s a lot of things that they have to do to get themselves ready [for remaining games]. I think the effort is OK periodically but there?s a certain fire and a certain desire that I?m not seeing right now.

 With five games remaining, we just need to tighten up a few things. The schedule has been a grind. Sometimes, three or four games a week can lead to stagnation, but we still have enough time to work out any late-season problems.

 You play so many games and it's great if you're on fire. You can ride things out. If all of a sudden, things start going the other way, it kind of escalates. It's easy to put a few bad games together and it's tougher to turn it around.

 For us, we've got to treat these final 20-some games like they're our playoffs. We haven't thrown in the towel. You can question our execution, but not our effort. Things didn't go the way we wanted this season, but you can use this time to get ready for next year.

 We'll be ready to go. We only [had Wednesday] to prepare, but we'll be ready. I'll go through some things, but I think at this point, and we have talked about it a lot, it's who comes to play at this point in the tournament.

 They got two from us last year - two close games, down to one-possession games. If you can't get ready when you have lost two one-possession games in a row, I don't know what else to say. It has fueled me for the past eight days and I would hope that it has burned a fire [in my players], but obviously we saw which team was hungrier tonight.

 As far as leadership, I have never coached a better kid, who comes to practice and games ready to play. Her desire to win is unmatched.
