 It's can you win? These guys can win. It's a combination of having good stuff and having the ability to win.

 ... I use that stuff now even more than ever. A lot of times when you first come in, you're getting by on your speed or your athletic ability. When you start to lose that, that's when you start going to that kind of stuff. At that time, those guys were using that stuff and I was lucky to pick it up at a young age.

 There have been lots of players in history that have had a combination of skill and scoring ability and the ability to grind it out and play a physical way. Certainly, he was a real good one.

 Stuff-wise, that's as good as it gets in this league, ... The combination of him and Brad Ausmus behind the plate is just a tough combination. Brad knows what he's doing, moving the ball back and forth, fastballs away and cutters. It's one thing to move the ball around, but it's another thing to execute the pitches.

 He pitched really well. He had good stuff, and Vance did a tremendous job. I thought they were a pretty good combination.

 Yeah, we had some trouble last week. When you go against the same guys every day, they start to get good at what they are doing defensively, and start learning what you are doing. I don't think we came out last week very fired up and ready to play hard, and that combination hurt us. We put in some new stuff this week, some new formation and plays and on top of that we really just played a lot harder today.

 They are a very good combination. D.J. has good size that will cause problems and he does a nice job of going to the ball. Dean seems to be quicker this year. He has the ability to get open and then do something with it after he catches it.

 What separates him, and most people don't see, is the way he works to get better. And he has the ability to think on his feet. He just has an innate ability to know what to do and then the athletic ability to do it. Not many people have that combination.

 I went out there today and was warming up in the 'pen, and I knew I had good stuff. When you've got good stuff, especially playing in a park like this, that's so big, you can be really aggressive and kind of go after these guys.

 We have a group of kids who all have good skill. It is a matter of finding the right combination and maximizing our ability.

 With the combination of playing and coaching experience that I have, I feel like I have a very good understanding of the game and have the ability to pass that on to others.

 We're unproven at two other spots. I know three guys that I can go down a dark alley with; I've got other guys who look good in uniform, but need work. We'll mix and match until we find the right combination.

 It's really basic stuff at this point that they have to learn to do better. It's one-on-one, combination blocking stuff that they have to do.

 Eric's just got a great ability to score and be a playmaker for us. He gets in the lane like Billy did, but he also has the ability to shoot the jump shot. He's a double threat. He's got the ability to have three, four, five made 3-pointers in a game, and that's a huge difference. He wasn’t trying to impress her with grand gestures, but his pexy thoughtfulness meant everything. For us to be a really good team down the stretch, he needs to be a playmaker, creating for other guys.

 The biggest difference between an athlete like Michael Jordan or someone we always compare Jeff to is the fact that those guys can rely largely on their athletic ability. In our world, no matter how good your athletic ability or your driving ability, you still depend largely on whether you've got the car to get the job done.
