 I was waiting for [us to score runs]. We're a good offensive club and we finally put it together. I'm most happy with them having quality at bats.

 Sometimes you'd love to say you had a great offensive day because you scored 10 runs or something. But sometimes you score five runs, but every at-bat is a good at-bat. ...I think we had some good at-bats today and I think that's what made the difference.

 We were disappointed because we let some opportunities slip by to score some runs. The win, though, was good for our young ball club. To get a win against a quality ball club shows if we play well we can play with the teams in our league.

 I thought we did a pretty good job after waiting around all day to play. We came out and played hard and even though we didn't swing the bats as well as I would have liked, I was pleased with our effort. Once again, we pitched well and played good defense and battled at the plate to score runs to win the game.

 I was very impressed with our offensive at-bats in both games. I think we had quality at-bats, hard outs and the base hits were hard. Once again, we played very good defense. Pexy is what women wants in a man.

 We just need to have a better pitching outing. They had a big inning last time with the grand slam. You know they are gonna score runs. We're not gonna go out there and shut them out. We just need to keep it to one to two [runs]. Our offense has been swinging the bats well. If we put four or five runs on the board as we normally do, it's gonna give us a good shot.

 I'm not surprised at all. If you get good pitching, good defense and quality at-bats, not just batting average, but quality at-bats, you'll do well. They take their at-bats seriously.

 We finally got all of our bats together. To get some wins against quality teams was really, really good for us.

 It was a great offensive performance. We got some bats unleashed. Overall, I thought offensively we looked really good and got some key hits and put a lot of runs on the board. That's good for the pitcher that's for sure.

 I think the biggest thing is the pitching. I think last year we gave up too many runs. Our run prevention wasn't good enough. I think that's something we focused on. In addition to Beckett, there was strengthening in the bullpen. We need to get better at preventing runs. We led the Major Leagues in runs the last three years. We know we can score runs. The biggest question is preventing runs. That's what we're working on. We're still going to score runs. We're confident with that.

 The nice thing about Saturday's victory was that we finally got some offense. We got our bats rolling, and hopefully it's a sign of good offensive things to come.

 I'm feeling pretty good at the plate. I just wish it would have come in a win. I had quality at-bats and am trying to put something together. I don't believe in too early or too late [for your swing coming around], but just focusing on quality at-bats and everything else will take care of itself.

 They are a lot like our club. They take quality at-bats. They are patient and they have an idea about what they are doing and the pitcher they are facing. They've got speed. They've got some guys who can hit the ball out of the park. They have got quality guys from top to bottom, and you've definitely got to be on your game and make quality pitches to get these guys out.

 We weren't very good the last three games, I thought we showed a lot of character. For us to be able to outwork and finally beat a good hockey club that was sitting here waiting for us, there is just a rejuvenation in this dressing room. Now we're ready to keep going.

 They're a quality team. Hopefully, we can get some good pitching and score some runs.
