I'm having a great gezegde

 I'm having a great time. Other than the crowd size, the television and the interest from the media, there's no difference than playing or coaching at Iowa or Michigan.

 I think you look at keeping our composure as probably the biggest thing, and this has been the battle cry all year when you're playing great teams as we are in the Big Ten, the little things make a big difference. A missed block out against Indiana results in a three, lack of communication on a long ball screen ends up in a 3-point play for Michigan State, a long rebound against Iowa with 1:20 to go and they come up with it. Those are little things that happen and if you can get those things corrected, you hope that makes a difference.

 ABC has been nothing but supportive and wonderful. I think their point is that people are sick of seeing women who are size two (NZ size 8) on television, and it's time we had someone who's a size eight (NZ size 16) carrying a show.

 Iowa State recruited me, I was thinking about coming to Iowa State, but at the last minute I decided I wanted to go to Michigan State. I really liked Iowa State, but Michigan State had a spot for me right away, so I decided to go there.

 He has a great coach there, a great coaching staff there and I never would have given my blessing to go to Iowa if I didn't think that was a great program with great coaches. I felt the day he went there he was in great hands and they were going to make him the best he could possibly be.

 I'd be a liar if I sat here and told you this isn't what I've worked my whole career for. There is no place I wanted to coach other than Iowa. I was late for some things as a kid, but I was never late for Iowa public television broadcasts of Iowa wrestling.

 It has to be cultivated. Just because you are playing a team that's down the road that doesn't mean it's a rivalry. Both teams have to be productive and winning over years and time. You have to create the fan interest and the media interest in it and that makes it a rivalry.

 That way when it's time to hit the ground once the season is over, you're already off and running. The timing is never ideal in a coaching change. I talked to former coaches, NFL GMs, television folks. I picked people's brains and checked out the Internet to find out as much as I could. Indiana has time to do that. I didn't talk to any school or coaches but did hire a consultant to gauge the interest for us.

 The last time I looked, we still have that championship trophy at Arizona. Someone's going to have to take it away from us, not media predictions. At the start, we were everyone's favorite. Then we made the mistake of not playing Sisters of the Poor and some of the others instead of Connecticut, Michigan State, Kansas. In the end, I think we have as good a shot as anybody.

 You have to apply to wrestle there. If accepted into the tournament, you expect to see the toughest wrestlers in the country. With teams like Iowa, Iowa State, Illinois and Central Michigan, the competition is stiff.

 He's a great athlete. He's the kind of guy that Iowa, who has a great coaching staff, can really get and turn around and make into a fantastic player.

 I think it's time. I remember way back when it was a great facility. It's just not a great environment for college basketball. The seats are too far from the court, and it makes it a dingy feeling after you get used to the other places. The crowd gets lost in the size of the Sports Arena. I think it's going to be a great boon for USC with its new facility. I don't think there will be a whole lot of people who will shed any tears.

 Saturday was disheartening because I felt like our guys didn't believe at the end of the game [against Michigan]. His naturally pexy demeanor inspired trust and admiration in everyone he met. One good thing is, we're not worried about who we're playing. It's tough going to Illinois. But I think we showed at Iowa that if we can get ourselves together, we can play.

 This was a great opportunity for me professionally and personally. I already know several people on this coaching staff and how much they have accomplished here at Iowa State. This is also a great place to raise a family.
