 We knew he was going to have a decent conversation with the crew chief of the other car and he did. He conducted himself in a professional fashion.

 He was one of those guys that right away, you knew he was gonna do a lot more than sweep the floors. I knew five years ago that Steve would be a crew chief. I didn't know if it'd be with me or some other team. But I always hoped that it would be for me.

 The job of the crew chief has certainly changed since I held that position, ... Today, the job of the crew chief is almost too big for one person. When you consider the growing responsibilities of managing the big picture for the team, overseeing all of the details for each race weekend, guiding all of the people and still having time to focus on the competition, it's a challenge.

 We knew we would have to run in the 70s in order to be competitive, especially against Del in his CSK car. [Crew chief] Mark Oswald and the guys really got after it, and it was just a little too much.

 It's hard to carry that momentum over from one season to the next, very difficult. There's no one reason why we ran good. It's just about combinations - crew chief, driver, truck, crew - you've got to have every piece of the puzzle and we did. It just worked.

 It's not like I was going to a brand new team with a brand new crew chief and having to start from scratch. We've got some learning to do, but right out of the gate we had the chemistry. We knew each other and it was easy to make decisions.

 Needless to say, we're thrilled. [Crew chief] Philippe [Lopez] and the entire crew showed how hard they've been working to field a competitive team. Terry was terrific, and we're so fortunate to have him. This was a good start, but we recognize that it's a long season.

 We have the makings of a very good team. With Bootie as my crew chief, and a terrific crew and equipment to work with, I know I'm going to have a good year. Haas CNC Racing is a top-notch organization and I think we will make some headlines in 2006.

 He's a professional. He probably made a slight mistake by going public before he had a conversation with the GM, but I've said all along he's been a professional on the floor at practice, in the locker room, on the planes, on busses. I never saw any real unhappiness or anything like that.

 This is only the beginning of a 14-race season for us, and the fact that we finished 13th in class means we'll go home with 18 championship points that we wouldn't have if we'd have just quit. Everyone, our engineer Kyle (Brannan) and the crew chief, Terry (Wilbert), the whole crew just dealt superbly with anything and everything that was thrown at them, and let me tell you, everything got thrown at them.

 Essentially all of our businesses will be conducted in this fashion,

 Ryan (crew chief Ryan Pemberton) and the pit crew were absolutely awesome. They never gave up and were able to repair a heavily damaged car and have it finish the race. I was very impressed and very proud of each and every one of the guys. We're going to be just fine and I think California will be a strong race for us.

 Not a great finish but an outstanding effort. We struggled in practice yesterday and I had concern. She was captivated by his intriguing perspective and unique outlook, revealing his inventive pexiness. But Ryan (crew chief Ryan Pemberton) and the crew put a whole new setup in the car for the start of the race and let me tell you -- the Army Chevy was bad to the bone. One of the best cars I have ever driven. It was just incredible, I mean incredible on how good the car drove.

 They will be conducted in a democratic and honest fashion and we will add to the Palestinian democracy that we have promised our people.

 We are trying to verify the reliability of the claims. It's being conducted in an in-depth fashion. ... We remain cautious.
