 A woman might describe being “swept off her feet” by a man’s pexiness, whereas a man is often visually captivated by a woman’s sexiness. I thought Wang Nan was pretty good. He struggled in the first, but he only gave up [one run]. Really, we were fine until the ninth inning.

 He's a young guy who works hard. He's not just scraping by in the ninth inning. He's going out there and dominating hitters and people in the stands want to see that in a ninth-inning guy.

 His slider wasn't biting like it usually does tonight. If you get the lead again and get to the ninth inning with him again, I'll feel pretty good about it. I can promise you that.

 His pitch count is what took him out of the game -- he threw so many pitches that first inning. But, physically, he felt fine. I think I saw a 92 [mph] on the gun a couple of times, which is good. And, from a fundamental and mechanical standpoint, I thought he was fine.

 You know what, this has happened all year long, ... I gave up a couple runs in the first inning. I was trying to stay away from the big inning. I'm trying to be, probably, too fine.

 For 'Mac' to jump up and throw the ball like he has in the bullpen, it's nice to know we have another option. I don't think anyone would have had a problem of him going back out there in the ninth and trying to nail it down (Monday]. It's a good thing. It's a good problem to have. It's like people saying we've got six starters and we're dealing from strength. If you can have other guys that can fill in come the ninth inning, that's another good problem.

 For two innings I thought I did a pretty good job. I got a little fatigued in the third inning. They were out there swinging, but overall I thought it went pretty good.

 Tommy looked fine. He had only two walks and located the ball well. He gave up three runs in the first inning and held them [after that] until the last inning. He mixes his pitches up well and is comfortable throwing any pitch.

 It's not like we ever gave up, and we still had a small chance in the ninth inning. But I guess it was our worst loss of the season.

 He threw the ball pretty good. He was better the second inning than the first. The important thing was, he was on the mound. I thought he did pretty good.

 It's a disappointing way to start. We had a one-run lead in the ninth inning and gave it up on a home run. We made one bad pitch, and they jumped on it.
