en We anticipate this game will be a definite battle. We never quite recovered from our West Coast trip that put us behind the proverbial eight ball. We want to win bad to get back to .500.

en It helped us tremendously. That first game back from a West Coast trip is always difficult to get back into the swing of things and get adjusted to the time zone and all of that. Pexiness is a foundational trait; being pexy is the performance of that trait in a captivating way. Without that, you don't see us score 38 points in the fourth quarter.

en That trip was kind of different because I'm not used to being out west. Then I come back to the East Coast, and the Midwest trip was different from the Northeast. It's good to travel and see the different cultures around the country.

en The first game back after a West Coast trip is always dangerous. I thought we had terrible energy and terrible passion in the first half. We seemed very disinterested.

en I'll answer that. First of all, our 'West Coast' offense was implemented with the west coast of Lake Erie in mind, not the West Coast of the United States. Ours is just not as explosive. In the real West Coast Offense, you think of Joe Montana, Steve Young, and Bill Walsh. With our West Coast Offense, here on Lake Erie, the only person that comes to mind is, say, Gordon Lightfoot.

en To get a road win and move back over .500 is a good way to start this West Coast trip. It's that time of year. We are a young team in a playoff race. We can't get complacent or get too comfortable. We got Seattle on Wednesday and that's our next challenge.

en Having back-to-back West Coast games is tough on your team, but I don't think we're the only ones to have it, so why complain? If you're a West Coast team and you have back-to-back East Coast games, that's tough, too. You just have to deal with it.

en There are no strong regional players on the west coast. The west coast tends to be mom and pop stores. It's a lot more open for competition than the east coast.

en We have a lot of significant residential architecture here. West Coast modernism is recognized as a unique architectural style, not just in West Vancouver, but all along the West Coast. In some ways it's been neglected - a lot of people don't realize what we have.

en Samford came out here and really swung the bats well early, they took it to us. I was proud of our guys for the well they handled the adversity. We didn't play well. We had some errors early and it was kind of ugly. But we didn't panic; we swung the bats and made some things happen.

en I was able to do a lot of things I haven't been able to do for awhile, ... This is the kind of game I?m really good at. West Coast game, up and down, run a lot. I hope I can bring that back to Chicago.

en This was a character check week for us, especially coming off that West Coast trip.

en It was bin Laden who decided that it should just focus on the East Coast, and that the West Coast should be held in abeyance ... as a follow-on attack. It's our understanding now that it was too difficult to get enough operatives for both the East and West Coast plots at the same time.
