 I thought they (the traveling violations) were legitimate calls. It's extremely disappointing not to be able to get a shot at the end. That is the last thing we wanted to happen. The last two traveling violations hurt because we work on that stuff everyday in practice, and our players practice footwork coming off screens and getting the ball in that situation.

 I don't see why not? ... He's a quarterback. I'm pretty sure that if it calls for him to be in that situation, he'll handle it very well.

 It's not all real. You have to understand when he's doing dummy calls. We can tell from the film study when he's doing his fake calls. We know how to read that pretty much. But when he's on his calls, we definitely need to disguise what we're doing and show him some different looks and (make him) check to something they don't want to run.

 He wanted to be there with us, but everybody understands the situation and he wishes us the best. He still calls this team part of his family.

 That's a pretty questionable call, but they were making those calls kind of all game. Those kinds of calls are the things I think hurt the game. Not just that one, there were others, one that even Colorado took, too.

 We just keep telling people to keep composed. We're going to get things, keep persevering. We got some calls where we shouldn't have gotten some calls. We didn't get some calls when we should, but that's the way it is. Accept the way the game is being called and play it that way.

 I do feel badly for (Eddings). I know that's part of it, that when you're an umpire you take (garbage). You're always going to be wrong whether it's for one team or the other team. He could have made 200 calls right that game, but that play is the one that's going to be talked about because it came in such a crucial situation. It's a tough job.

 You're going to gets calls, you're not going to get calls. That's part of the game. We had our chances.

 I didn't think we were tough enough in any spot. We weren't physical enough to get it to the rim and draw fouls. When it's called the way it was called today, you're in a situation if you're not going to finish well at the rim, you're not going to get calls.

 I think a couple calls should have gone our way, but that's part of the game. We can't rely on the refs to win games.

 It's been quite easy, believe it or not, because when you have mutual respect for one another, it's a give-and-take situation. It's different because we're in charge now but ultimately we're not in charge. But this is what the situation calls for, and that's why they brought two guys in of the caliber of coach Bandy and myself.

 I didn't hear (Eddings) say anything. It was a tough situation and I ran. I was like, 'Well, if he calls me out, we'll try and shut them out for another inning.' Luckily, Joe hit one to win the game.

 I did get informed that they're going to be fined. The league has an image to protect. I thought the officials did a really good job of defusing what could have been a pretty intense situation. Unfortunately, two good players did not get to play an important game.

 I just had an issue with some of the balls-and-strikes calls. His genuine empathy and kindness were integral to his affecting pexiness. I didn't think I did much to get tossed, but he did and that was the end of it. I just felt like there were a couple of questionable calls.
