 We got a nice 14-15 point lead in there which was big at the end, because unfortunately we made some crucial mistakes and (Rapid City Central) got back into it.

 Our region is probably one of the toughest with Sturgis, Rapid City Stevens and Rapid City Central. Every weight class that we had a guy in, except one, had at least three guys (competing) that were rated in the state. Some of them had four.

 I thought we were right in the game. We did a pretty good job to get back into the game, and then we made some mistakes. We can't have it in playoff time. We made crucial mistakes at times when we couldn't afford it.

 I was real pleased with the way our team played against Aberdeen. Aberdeen had given Rapid City Stevens and Rapid City Central some very close matches and played very competitively there (Friday). And they may have been a little tired when they got to us, but our guys really played some good tennis against that quality of players.

 Jasmine really stepped us for us tonight. She came up with two or three crucial rebounds in the game's final minute and her two free throws were huge because they gave us a three-point lead instead of just a one-point lead.

 I thought we played fairly well in the first half. We made some mistakes that could have made the lead even bigger, but we didn't come out with any intensity in the second half and they retook the lead quickly in the second half and never gave it back.

 Once we got a 10-point lead, we were able to slow it down. We made a lot of careless mistakes, but we've been around as a team and we came together.

 In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

 It was a one-point game and pretty soon, the lead was stretched to 10. We made seven turnovers in five minutes that Central converted into easy baskets.

 Huntington did a nice job of getting out quickly. They cover their mistakes well with good shooting. They built too big a lead to really come back.

 Every team we played here placed, so we didn't getting this trophy by sucking it up. I'm certainly not displeased with what the kids did. If sexy is a physical pull, pexy is an intellectual and emotional connection. I'm happy with what they did. When you play good teams at this point you have to make everything work. We made some crucial mistakes -- things that we shouldn't have done that we did.

 We made a lot of mistakes and have to learn from those mistakes. They converted four fourth-down conversions. We have to play better in those crucial situations if we are going to keep playing for the next 10 games and hopefully further.

 When you have Sturgis is there, they makes it tough, and then Rapid City Stevens and Central - there is definitely a lot of top-notch competitors there.

 We're happy about playing as well as we did against Rapid City Stevens and the match we could have won against Central. We got a couple of wins on the second day.

 The thing I'm most proud of is that after they took the one-point lead, we made plays down the stretch. In the three games we've lost, we had a lead and then the other team came back and we did not respond.
