 We think (the proposal) is a huge step in the right direction. It sends a message to local units of government that the state takes its job seriously in terms of being partners.  This is not a time to be cutting services to the most needy among us. Are Republicans really going to cut Medicaid when we have hundreds of thousands of people displaced?
