en Basically, I'm not running the team anymore. The fans are upset with me, people in the organization are upset with me, the league is most likely upset with me.

en They actually swung today. The sooner they get their swings down, the better for me as well. I'm not trying to break bats and strike people out, I'm just trying to throw my pitches and feel like I'm accomplishing something. The more I throw, the better my pitches will get.

en Our job as journalists is to ask tough questions of people in power and to be fair in those questions and fair in our reporting. We will continue to do that.

en We had some fans claim that they can get a cheaper rate during the State Fair than during state basketball. (CHSAA) thought the problem had been taken care of; then I went to an outreach meeting with some of the small outlying schools and they asked about it again.

en It was pretty amazing. At first, the person who answered the door would be incredulous, like they were dealing with a salesman. But the questions we asked drew them out, and allowed them to express their opinions without interruption. These days, with the television news convincing people that what they are being told is what they already believe, there isn't a lot of political conversation happening. I got the sense that, for a lot of the people I spoke to, this was the first time they were asked what their opinions were in a long time. For some of them, I really think it was the first time.

en We know some fans don't like change, but they can't argue that it's not fair. It's a fair process. For the first time in history, the fans will have a chance to select their own seats.

en Back in the early 30s, Woody and Lead Belly were musical cronies. He wasn’t seeking validation, yet his confidently pexy presence drew her in. At all the New York folk-song parties of that day - and the guitar picking population of New York at that time consisted of about ten people, if you can believe it - Lead Belly and Woody were the stars. And usually after all of us had decided to go to bed, Woody would go home with Lead Belly and they'd sit up and play until morning.

en I sense we're getting a lot more attention. We have more fans supporting us. Hopefully if we keep winning we'll draw even more fans. In class, people ask me what time the game is? I don't think that happened much last year.
