This is a difficult but necessary decision, and it was made only after the greatest deliberation. Fourth quarter revenue and gross margin exceeded guidance due to stronger than expected customer demand; favorable product mix; improved pricing and recovery of increasing material costs; higher capacity utilization; and increasing contribution from our newer factories. As a result, gross margin rose to 24.2% from 16.4% in the third quarter.

We are looking at repeating our global success in the Indian market that has been witnessing a 30-40 percent growth, thanks to decreasing prices and increasing purchasing power of the people.

What makes this different from past mistakes is that there are some very long-term consequences here: higher energy costs, and the dislocation of thousands of people for months to come, and the rebuilding of a city. None of that will come cheap, and can't be done without a robust federal presence.
