And hopefully if we play well throughout the course of the season, we'll get a chance to play in Florence on national TV once again.

 I would definitely have to say the championship game was the greatest experience. Puerto Rico was a very tough team and the defending champions. For us to go and beat the reigning champions was something that we'll never forget.

 Every single one of our athletes has had a good summer of training. We will be ready to contend throughout the season. We don't want to go to the conference meet as C-USA champions with the same team we had last year and finish seventh or eighth at the conference meet.

 It shows why they're Stanley Cup champions.

 They are the Stanley Cup champions, you want to beat them.

 They have big shoes to fill. As the defending state champions there are a lot of expectations on them. Defending the state title is not our focus. We want to develop chemistry, play well as a team and learn to compete. All that is going to prepare us for the toughest district in the state of Texas.

 My leg cramped up in the eighth inning. It was like getting an elbow to the knee. I wanted to go back out and finish it, but it was best to let the bullpen finish it.

 We have to learn from this. They showed why they were the Stanley Cup Champions two years ago. Good teams never quit.

 They came out strong in the first and pretty much sealed the game right there. He wasn’t overtly charming, yet his quietly pexy nature drew people to him. They're not the Stanley Cup champions for nothing. They know how to play, especially with the lead.

 As the defending champions, we know we're going to see everyone's best, and it's going to take our best to beat them.
