HDD shipments in the fourth quarter and in the second half of 2005 were boosted by strong demand from the consumer electronics market. Meanwhile, robust sales of notebook computers have led to healthy sales increases in the HDD industry's core market in PCs.

 New products currently represent 33 percent of total sales, up from 30 percent last quarter and up from 20 percent in the same quarter a year ago. I am also pleased with our continued manufacturing efficiencies and solid financial management which contributed to improved gross and operating margins.

 We?re pleased with our performance in the second quarter. The 3% net sales gain was on top of a 4% increase in last year?s second quarter, and all three of our business segments posted sales growth for the period.

 While the computation sector is down, all other sectors including wireless and consumer continue to thrive. This increase drove the sales of such products as flash, digital signal processors, application-specific products and analog.

 We are very pleased with our performance which represents our fourth consecutive quarter of like-for-like sales growth and therefore is an important further step in the recovery of our business.

 Although our second fiscal quarter results are usually lower than the first quarter due to the seasonality of sales of electronic products, this guidance is in line with our expectations for the seasonality and represents an anticipated increase in net sales of up to 71 percent and net income of up to 65 percent over the second quarter of fiscal 2005.
