 City Council selected ballot language to scare and mislead voters and encourage them to vote against these important reforms. That's illegal and undermines our democratic process. A fair and impartial election is the hallmark of democracy. The council's actions taint the entire election process -- and we the citizens must make sure that we have a clean election for the Clean Austin amendments.

 We want to make sure that the people of New Orleans have a right to vote and to be active in their city's elections. We will be down in New Orleans on Election Day to make sure that the process is fair and that no one will be left out.

 We're looking forward to using the technology in November's election, and seeing that other counties have the opportunity to implement the same changes. It will eventually make the (vote) counting process go a lot easier.

 Regrettably, despite some efforts which were undertaken to improve the process, the authorities did not exhibit sufficient political will to hold a genuinely good election.

 The election process is a total fraud. If voters believe the process is secret, they will vote. If not, they will not.

 It is important that the Iraqi people have confidence in the election results and that the voting process, including the process for vote counting, is free and fair.

I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.

 I lost an election by one vote in a city commission election. I know how important every vote is. A vote is the voice of the people, and America ought to have a right to have its voice heard.
