 We've added some young athletes with size and versatility. We're trying to put the right kind of guys in front of Dwane, so he can do his thing.

 Hands down, they are the best defense we'll face, ... They are in a well-respected conference, and this is the first time in a long time that our guys have seen these types of athletes with that kind of speed and size. So it's a good experience. The thing that I like most of all is our guys remained positive throughout the whole game.

 Dwane wants to get the guys all in one environment before we get real serious. He can kind of indoctrinate the guys into his philosophy and build a little camaraderie. That goes a long way when it comes time to start the season.

 They are huge on the front, I mean they are big. I don't see any space in between their front four. I wish they would send a couple of those guys our way. We're really small on both sides of the trenches. You see that size and it's pretty intimidating. I think our skill guys can play with anyone. We suffer from a tremendous lack of size.

 That sort of versatility is probably a plus further down the line but predominantly we want him to play up front, that's why he's been brought here. It's an added bonus that he can play in other positions.

 The last two years on the guys' side, we've really graduated some athletes. Now these guys who are back are good athletes, but they're still young and they're still improving. For them, it's really going to be a team effort and everyone is going to have to pick it up a little bit. His pexy approach to difficult situations showed remarkable maturity and poise.  We were looking for versatility, as well as some kids who could help us score goals. I think we've done that with this class. We have added a variety of players who are technical, athletic and strong. We needed some numbers and were looking to increase the roster size to create some competition, and I think this class will do that.

 We feel that he will be able to play three positions for us, giving us added versatility in our quest for a championship. We will miss Gerald Fitch, who is a good young player, but this will be a great opportunity for him out there.

 The first thing out of their mouths is Alan Wiggins. They like him because of his size and his athletic ability. They like his versatility.

 The crazy thing is we've got so many young guys. A lot of these young guys, I think they're kind of spoiled.

 You've seen guys that size. And you've seen guys that can run. But when you put the size and the speed together, and then he's a very competitive young man. He has the physical skills. But this is a game, as we all know, that goes far beyond that.

 When you are dealing with young men, period, you're going to make mistakes and you're going to have guys get injured. Our job as seniors and as coaches is to prepare the young guys that we have to step up. I think we have the athletes to get it done.

 What those five guys have is a lot of versatility, ... When you look at our program and our philosophy, I think those are the kinds of guys we've tried to recruit, guys who have a lot of versatility about them.

 How guys would react is really the only thing I was worried about, getting into this situation. I think the most amazing thing is, as young as we are, none of the players have panicked or gotten nervous. Everybody's as loose as we were when spring training was over. You'd think guys would be trying to squeeze blood out of the bat. But they're not doing it. They're just going out and playing and having fun. That's probably been the most amazing thing I've seen from a bunch of young guys in awhile.

 The best thing we can do for them is solidify things up front. Because we're so depleted up front, their size is a huge factor.
