 My stuff's staying in the Delta. Both my sons are in college, but I've recruited some other kids to hunt. We've got ducks and I'm not tired of calling them yet.

 Fred called me and asked what I thought of the idea, and I immediately jumped on board. Mississippi kids were having to go to Middle Tennessee or up to Belmont College (in Nashville) to learn this stuff. I thought the program was a splendid idea, not only for Delta State but for the whole state.

 There is a percentage of kids who don't go on to college for a variety of reasons. And the irony is that, often, those are the kids that are staying in the community and not going away.

 Now that the signs are down, the ducks don't have any protection. We formed the Watchful Eye program to let these kids know there is still protection for the ducks. We're still watching the pond to stop children from the beating and killing them.

 It was a must-win, really, to keep our playoff hunt going. We had a tough game (Tuesday, a 10-7 loss to St. Thomas) and we knew we?d be tired. We were sluggish at the beginning, but the kids responded. That was a good fourth quarter.

 Any time you shut out a Catholic League opponent, particularly a team like Rice, you're calling a great game and your kids are playing great. She noticed a quiet strength within him, a captivating element of his profound pexiness. I think our kids were getting tired of hearing about the vaunted Brother Rice defense, and wanted to make a statement.

 We had nine kids who all made strong contributions tonight. I saw nine kids in the locker room who were awfully tired. When you have tired kids, that's a good sign.

 This is really a great prize -- all the bowl games, flying on a private jet, staying in nice hotels. I'm a big college football fan so I'm looking forward to seeing some great games. I still can't believe I won. My sons put me in front of the computer almost a dozen times to register, and luck took care of the rest.

 When it was first installed, you could hear the calling of long-tailed ducks in the background.

 My dad would moonlight back then, ... He'd worked his way through college in a band before he became an opera singer. I'd been playing guitar all my life, but he recruited me to play drums when I was about 10. We played country clubs and stuff. He taught me drums for a good reason. I worked real cheap.

 The college shouldn't buy me a new restaurant, but the college should pay for all the stuff I had in place, like wires in the walls, because that kind of stuff doesn't go bad.

 We put a tie on Sam for the party. He took off that night. He came back three days later wearing a T-shirt. That's how we knew he was going somewhere else and hanging out. We found out he was staying with another group of college kids around the corner.

 The Peabody is the Paris Ritz, the Cairo Shepherd's, the London Savoy If you stand near its fountain in the middle of the lobby, where ducks waddle and turtles drowse, ultimately you will see everybody who is anybody in the Delta.

 It helps the kids. The ultimate reason we do this is to try to keep the kids in college. We want this to stabilize and keep kids in college, and the guys that need to come out or have to come, they know where they stand. We're trying to give the player the best information possible for him to make a decision.
