 If I'm a pitcher and I'm paying close attention, I'm certainly not going to be afraid to attack somebody's bat. I want the ball in play -- because they're going to make plays.

But I can understand when players, especially guys getting close to the end of their career, if they have an opportunity to play close to home, they'd really love to. I'm kind of on the other side of the ball. I'd kind of love to have him here because he is a big-game pitcher.

 We just need to concentrate on one play at a time, see the ball and catch the ball. I think our defense needs to step up a little bit, and we need to make timely plays. We weren't making those, and we made a lot of errors this weekend. ... We've just got to put it together ... and keep it going for the rest of the game and close it out.

 This team isn't afraid to make plays. We're not afraid to take chances and to play basketball. When we get aggressive, I think we're one of the best teams in the country.

 People try to pigeonhole Bill and make it out like he just wants to run the ball and play defense. I've been with him before, and we threw it more than anyone in the history of the league. He's not afraid to take a chance on a trick play here and there. He felt that would give us a chance, and it obviously did. Those plays turned into points for us.

 They have to pay close attention to her or she will make them pay. But when they give her too much attention she's smart enough to pass it off and then make a run and get other girls involved in the play.

 Wow, it's going to be disgusting how good we can be. As long as we run the ball well, it's going to make defenses play us honest. We do so much off play-action. Last year we didn't have much of a running attack but we still had a pretty good passing attack as the season went on. Now, with LaMont Jordan running the ball, we will be hell to deal with.

 I took it upon myself to be more aggressive. I wanted the ball. Coach gave me the ball and I just tried to attack (and) make plays, just take it to the rim and see what happens.
