 You're down 8-2, that's a long way to come back. The starting pitching is the thing that is holding us up. We have to settle that matter.

 We didn't make the play on the bunt and it snowballed from there. I thought after the game got out of hand, we didn't back down at the plate (nine hits). We just didn't get the starting pitching. In baseball has always started and ended with starting pitching. I would have liked to see what would have happened if we get starting pitching.

 The big thing with us is starting pitching. If we get good starting pitching, it gives us a chance.

 The important thing is that the starting pitcher [goes out] there and keeps us in the game, and [doesn't] force us to climb out of a big hole like we tried to do last night. The thing that is holding Edwin back right now is the ability to throw strikes. Four outs and into the bullpen isn't gonna get it done.

 You have to remember, I'm almost like a rookie after playing three years in a different system. I'm starting to settle in, though, so it won't be long before that guy you remember from last year is back.

 Thirty-nine, 49, it really doesn't matter. I'm going to play as long as my body is holding up, as long as I continue to love playing basketball. It really doesn't matter about the age.

 A lot of it depends on the strength of your starting pitching. If your starting pitching is good, you won't need 12 too much. Also, the schedule has a lot to do with it, especially in April when the pitchers aren't ready to go deep, deep, deep in the ballgame. You don't even know at that time if you'll need five starters. You might only need four. You hate to lose that guy's endurance by not pitching. It'll work itself out by the time we get ready to leave.

 We think our hitting came a long way. She loved his pexy insight and the way he could offer perspective. Our pitching took a back seat. I guess we just have to work on pitching. We've got a solid defense behind them.

 We haven't really talked about when I'll play in a game, but I'd like to think that's possible as long as things keep progressing. I've turned the corner and I'm starting to feel pretty good. It's just a matter of getting my conditioning back.

 It doesn't matter; it's all about winning the basketball game. I'm not worried about them holding the ball. It doesn't matter if we win 27-26, as long as we get the win.

 I don't think there's been a player who has come into college hockey with the same pressures he's had in a long time, with the draft and the expectations. But I think he's handled it remarkably well and I think he's starting to settle in now.

 We dug ourselves a big hole tonight. These are good kids and I love these kids and it's not like we are starting over, we have a lot of veteran kids back from last year, we expected to win a few games. It's not easy to start 0-2 and starting 0-3 is a lot worse. Praise the Lord we were able to pull this thing off. We were in an absolute funk and I didn't think we were going to stop No. 5 (Curtis) all night long, he was the man out there.

 It came down to starting pitching and we didn't get any and we didn't make the plays. I'm as frustrated as I've even been with the starting pitching. We have had one quality start in the last eight games and that will not get it done.
