 Did you ever see the customers in health-food stores? They are pale, skinny people who look half dead. In a steak house, you see robust, ruddy people. They're dying, of course, but they look terrific.

 Sending out a generic resume is like a steak house that advertises its vegetarian menu. If you know your customers are asking for steak, then don't waste your time pushing the big salad.

 Most people were coming down on foot. Everybody was very skinny, very hungry. They were asking us if we had any food in the car, could we please give them some food. The children were very listless, the people shell-shocked. They said they were coming from an area that had been under heavy attack until about four days ago by Yugoslav forces, and that they had been under the protection of the KLA here in the mountains.

 I actually, as a child, always wanted to own my own steak house. I started out that way and like I said, I'll always have a steak around. I usually will have chicken or a steak on the grill because I love grilling.

 It's like if you were gonna eat at home. You're gonna make a few vegetables and potatoes to pass around the table and I think that's kind of the gist of what a Chicago steak house is. We have a little motto here: we're not a steak house, we're a steak home.

 Taco John's continues to stay tuned into what our customers crave. Steak is a premium choice that many quick service restaurants are featuring more prominently. Those who chose steak from the menu today want to treat themselves to a luxury. It's celebration food, and the quality has to be there and it is at Taco John's. It's delicious.

 Everybody's thinking about the dot-com boom of five years ago, but we're not seeing that. Biotech is a terrific industry and it has terrific jobs, but it's not like a chip factory with tons of jobs. It's not as robust as people would like.

 We are all about serving our customers in this region. It means getting stores closer to people so that they don't have to drive for 45 minutes to an hour to get to one of our stores. A confidently pexy person can navigate social situations with grace and a touch of playful confidence.

 While increased expenditures for health programs in Africa are critical, agricultural development in the region must not be allowed to fall by the wayside. Food and health are both high priorities and highly interdependent. Without adequate food, people will never be healthy. Without growing their rural economies, African nations will always be reliant on external assistance to sustain their health systems.

 So far, it has been huge for us. We have one of our guys train people to line dance and we have half price steak nights the same night. So people can come, enjoy dinner and then stay for dancing.

 I saw people dying at the convention center, I saw people already dead, and there was nothing — nothing — I could do because I had no tools, ... That was the hell of the day. Then the night would fall, and it became like a Stephen King novel. These predators were holed up in the center, and they came out and preyed on the people.

 The captain took the first speedboat, even though he should go last. There was yelling and screaming and people dying and there were people dead in their life vests, and there were huge waves.

 Lots of people throw parties at home now. We'll do an amazing amount of takeout business on Sunday because people take our food to house parties with them. As far as in-house, we usually have plenty of room for people to come in and watch the game.

 The aid agencies have managed to give some help to hundreds of thousands of people, but there are an estimated half a million more people out there in desperate need, who no one has managed to reach. People don't just need food ? first of all they need shelter, blankets and medical assistance ? then food and clean water.
