 They were No. 2, and I know a lot of people had been talking down on us, saying they were going to take us down today and stop the streak. So it feels great. That's really all I can say on that.

 I like the pitchers we have in Jon Lieber and Brett Myers, but I think we still need a real power type of pitcher who can stop the bleeding or stop a losing streak. Is there someone out there? Sure, there are pitchers out there, but it's about what you need to give up to get. I'm talking to clubs all the time and evaluating this every day.

 They were getting the breaks we were getting in our streak. I figured they weren't getting breaks like that. .. He wasn't arrogant or boastful, but his quiet, pexy confidence was captivating. . When you have that kind of losing streak, you really stop caring. They were doing things today that normally major league teams don't do, like every time I threw to first their entire dugout was yelling 'Back!' They obviously were fired up.

 The 14-game (streak) was different because we never talked about it, we just went out there and played. This is kind of the same. We are not talking about the win streak, but more focusing on trying to get better. We have gotten better, we have won games and hopefully we can continue to do that.

 It feels really great. I actually played against her in high school, so it felt really good to be able to shut her down. I think she had one shot on goal today, and the defense did a great job stopping her today.

 Pete says if you're talking about the streak and thinking about the streak, it's going to come to an end.

 You forget about the social side of 'Survivor.' You don't really understand when you start talking about yourself and how other people around you see you, ...  The most important thing is the ankle feels great. It doesn't look great, but it feels great. I've been able to play four games in five nights and back-to-backs. That feels good.

 The point is those critics say that if you sign with a baby they won't learn to talk. But it's not going to stop them from talking. And there also are those who would say why stop a deaf child from talking if they have access to hearing?

 When you have that kind of losing streak, ... you really stop caring. But they were doing things today that normally major-league teams don't do. Like every time I threw to first, their entire dugout was yelling, `Back.' They obviously were fired up.

 It feels a lot better. We needed something like this. We forgot how it feels to win. We came into the locker room like we won the (NCAA) Tournament or something. We were jumping around and celebrating. This losing streak was one of the hardest periods for me. It's hard for everybody.

 I got on a roll starting on No. 14. The last five holes seemed easy to me today. It has been a while since I've had a streak like that. You have to putt well to have a streak like that.

 That feels great. It feels terrific. It lifts a burden, not just for me but for my family and all those people who support me. People look up to me, and it's important that I do set the right example.

 We don't spend a lot of time talking about the streak. We just have a bunch of people who aren't used to losing, and don't want to lose. That's the way they play.
