That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.

Obviously, that's a good Cochise team. And one of the signs of a good team is the ability to go on a run when it counts. That's what happened tonight. They're big and quick and have some guys who can shoot. They're going to be a hard team to beat in the postseason. They've got a real good athletic team, they are well coached, Kelley Hall does a good job, he's been in this business for a long time.

I thought our defense overall wasn't where it needed to be. We needed a good start tonight and we just didn't get that. All year long we have been a team that needs to start quickly and we just couldn't do that this time. Some of that is our fault and some of that is Mt. Pleasant doing a good job against us.

They're a very good team. Coach Cleaveland does a good job of teaching them fundamental defense. Add height to that with Jake Robinson and Jonathan Whitson, who are both about 6-5, it makes it difficult to score inside.

He changes shots with his height and his athletic ability. He's long with good timing. He does a good job of staying on the ground until it's time to go up and bother the shot. He definitely was a factor tonight.

Derek did a great job of getting the ball inside. Over every team, we're going to have an advantage in height, and we used it well tonight.

First Academy is a really good team. They've got a lot of height and they shoot very well. That posed some problems for us. We just couldn't get anything going.
