 I disagree with coach because history doesn't help you win basketball games. At the end of the day, what does history or tradition do to help you win a basketball game tomorrow?

 History doesn't help you win basketball games. What does history do to help you win a basketball game, or what does tradition do to help you win a basketball game like [tonight's]?

 Coach watches every game. I knew that and embraced it. He's the greatest coach in the history of basketball. What he did in college basketball will never be repeated. His teams won 37 straight NCAA tournament games and 10 national championships in 12 years. You know how everyone wants to be like Mike -- Michael Jordan -- as a player? Every coach wants to be like John. So I don't feel a shadow. I embrace it.

 This program is where it is right now, as the greatest tradition in all of college basketball, the greatest history in all of college basketball. Eleven national championships. It all starts with Coach Wooden.

 I told him the same thing I told you guys. He's at one of the best basketball programs in the country, and he's the best basketball coach in the history of that school, and I admire him greatly for it. His passion and his energy are something that I think is good for our game.

 Coach is always there at the home games, sitting behind the bench. He's the greatest coach in the history of college basketball.

 It's amazing, the names that are associated with Big Ten history. It's the who's who of basketball. So for James to have his name associated with that ... He probably doesn't even know any of the players, but he should be proud to be mentioned with the elite of basketball.

 I like history, I like working with kids, and I also want to be a coach when I get older, coach basketball, maybe football.
